No offense, Al, but I just don't see rush and you in the same image. ::rolleyes::
Stroll onto the court, maybe.

Well you're the first guy in my post, but I was really talking about the second guy, Al.

I'm going to be sitting right in front of Al tonight. Maybe I'd better bring a hardhat and some extra padding so I
don't get trampled when Al makes his move.
Oops, forgot the "don't" part earlier. Remember, Al's a pretty big guy, and pretty excitable.
Note to people who are under 45 and were possibly planning on rushing the court:
Do not, under any circumstances, rush the court after beating BROWN for the teams third consecutive league title. Act like you've been there before, please.
Al, Killer, feel free to rush the court. You waited long enough for a "Cornell basketball era" that you may as well enjoy it.

OTOH, a half dozen guys from the class of '80 rushing the court sounds like a George Romero movie.
http://stfu.wikispot.org/Rules_for_Storming_the_Floor
Although I think rushing the court at Brown would be a clear violation of the rules since it says "If you storm an opponent's floor, odds are you will get hurt." although they do specifically mention that winning an Ivy league championship outright is a good enough reason. Funny list of rules though, you got to love how they have The Cornell Addendum to the rules which says to not run over clock operators when storming the court since last year against Penn the court rush broke one of the scorer's laptops or something and afterward they had to go back to rewatch a buzzer shot that should have counted
Cornell is getting a lot of attention on ESPN today, which makes sense since 1/65 of the bracket could be filled tonight.
I hope they rush the court tonight...

Brown and Cornell both playing out of their minds. Need to win this to avoid a 14 seed.

I would not have guessed that the "stfu" in "stfu.wikispot.org" stood for "Storming The Floor University".
Good to see ESPN has a gamecast of every Ivy game other than the one where one team can clinch the conference, therefore rendering every other game completely mott.

Also free on WVBR (http://wvbr.com/listen).
Cornell 51, Brown 47 at the half.

Cornell has made 19 three pointers with just over 3 minutes to play...19!!!!!
Check that...Dale makes it a nice round 20.
can we get to 100???? that would be winning the Ivy League in style.
All subs in now but five points in 2 minutes should be doable...
Not quite.
Final: 95-76! Three titles in a row!
tied the record for 3's in an ivy league game, 20
Not only the record for 3's but shot 20-30 from 3, some teams have trouble shooting that percentage from the FT line...
Let's Go Red. Back to back to back.

After the Brown game, Donahue said something to the effect that Providence was a good possibility.
it was close for awhile, a 4 point game at one point in the 2nd half, but Cornell beats Yale 79-59
should be able to get that 12 seed
All they need to do is repeat the 20-30 3 pt shot game at Brown and they'll be fine in the tournament.
Athletics will be announcing something later this week but it sounds like they will be having a Selection Sunday party or something at Newman
Impressive performance by Cornell in Yale tonight. Few signs of a letdown after clinching Ivy title the night before. We also had to overcome some terrible foul calls on Foote by one of the refs, who called three fouls on him in the second half from the opposite side of the court after the two refs with a better view didn't call anything. Dale carried us for a while, and Wittman got hot for a while in the second half. Our experience showed after Yale cut our lead to 4 early in the second half and we responded with a 16-2 run.
Yeah the Cornell crowd was also impressive, it sounded and looked like a home game
Any way to find out potential times of the games in Providence?
Quote from: elliotbAny way to find out potential times of the games in Providence?
Ticket info from CU Athletics (http://www.athletics.cornell.edu/tickets/NCAABBallticket_info_10.pdf) does not yet include game times.
Quote from: colleghoopsnet.comThe first round features two sessions (2 games each) at each venue. These tend to start at noon, but times are not final as of now. Evening sessions are usually at 6pm. Second round games on the weekend tend to start at noon, but specific game times will be announced later on when CBS finalizes its television schedule.

Well, let's just say Killer and I kinda sauntered onto the court...and enjoyed every minute of it.

Can't comment at all on the credibility of this site, but, for what it's worth, they give Cornell b-ball a power ranking of 29: http://www.collegehoopsnet.com/collegehoopsnet-top-50-week-seventeen-168328
