Nice piece. Thanks for the link.
Key quote from Schafer:
"If you look across the country," said Schafer, "we know we can compete with anyone. The question is: Have we learned the lessons about playing with poise in big events? We've shown we have and we haven't, so are we going to do it when it counts the most?"
QuoteMore importantly, their current No. 9 power ranking gives Cornell a likely lock for one of the 10 at-large invites among the 16 teams in the four NCAA regionals the weekend of March 25-27.
Someone hasn't been reading Robb's thread.
Nice article.
QuoteIn upstate Ithaca, N.Y., Cornell University ended its 110th regular season
Well...not really 110.
"Ben Gallagher"?

Yeah, I too noticed the optimism that the article/author had about our invitation to the NC$$ tourney. I think I will just wait until I see "Cornell" in a bracket on selection Sunday.
Lots of nice quotes by Bitz, my new favorite Florida Panther **]. The GM of the panthers Sexton, had some nice things to say about Bitz (around the 4-5 min mark) (http://panthers.nhl.com/index.html) in this video interview. I wonder if Bitz will wear #29 again. Corey Stillman has #61.

No, that would be Ben Dailey.
It's probably more about us getting a little lucky "when it counts the most" than it doesn't showing poise, learning lessons, etc., etc.

One thing I think we can all look foward to is the next few games/weeks. After that it will be been Scrivens, been Gallagher not to mention been Scali, etc., etc., etc.

Nope. Vokoun has #29. Just looked at the roster and Bitz has #12.

That's what I get for ignoring the goalies. I only looked at the skaters.
Pretty well-written article, though, other than the couple of errors ("Ben" Gallagher, the PWR comment) mentioned above and an often-seen "Brendan" Nash. It didn't make the common Dryden/1970 error, for example.

Agree. Wouldn't have expected it from NHL.com. Nice Dryden pic. Unlike today's tenders, he looks like a human.

Not that it needs one this year.

But if BSU loses in the CHA tournament it would squeeze out a non CHA-team, so that's new.
