Are those passes for the entire weekend or just tickets for the day you stay over?
I am also interested and would like to understand the details.
- $129 / for a night and 2 tix that day for 2 in the room ??
--> then you'd need another $129 and get 2 tix for Sat and stay Sat night ?
interesting offer, but hard to find details.
Yes, tickets are only for the night of your stay.

Thank you, going to reserve a room.
Tix are in section 117. Not very good, however, moving is not usually a problem for this tourney.
Bear in mind that, as the shuttle to the game indicates, this is not the Hilton Garden Inn that's downtown within walking distance to the arena. (On the other hand, it is a reasonable walk to a number of good bars and restaurants along Lark Street.)

Glad you added that. Thank you!
Just to clarify, there is no Hilton Garden Inn downtown. There is, however, a Hampton Inn, also brought to you by the Hilton Family.

You're right, I completely confused the two. ::doh::
Another clarfication...the tournament takes place on Friday and Saturday 3/19 and 3/20, not 3/20 and 3/21.
Also, the Albany Med Garden Inn has indoor parking attached to the hotel in Albany Med's garage. Downstairs is a pretty good sportsbar, the Hotel gym and a Starbucks. If you celebrate too hard, the Albany Med Emergency Room is easily accessible by indoor pedestrian bridge from the hotel.::drunk::
I stayed at the hotel in question for a conference. Rooms are quite nice, and you can pick up free wireless that wafts over from the Albany Medical Center if your room is on the close side of the hotel.
You can actually cross over to the hospital and set up in the surgery waiting area or cafeteria ad use the wifi there. Both are open 24 hrs
Don't all HGI's have free wi-fi?

Don't know about that, but the TU Center did.

Yes, as a Hilton diamond member, that's basically the Garden Inn's draw: free wifi (and awesome King beds). Under this link (http://www.hiltongardeninn.com/en/gi/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=ALBSUGI), they list "Complimentary high-speed Internet"
Of all Hilton properties, I generally enjoy HGIs the best. And the walk to the arena is 1.5 miles downhill. It's not impossible.
Yes, but if you don't go to the hospital cafeteria you miss out on that good hospital food. Mmmmmmm...meatloaf!::uhoh::

In today's Parade magazine there's a cartoon with a doctor talking to his hospitalized patient who is eating dinner. The caption: "If you ever hope to improve your health, you've got to stop eating hospital food."
What's the deal with the 4:00 check-in time at the Hilton Garden?

Not sure what "what's the deal" means, but 3:00 or 4:00 is pretty standard.

Call them up and explain your situation. Worst case they'll check you in and check your luggage until you return after the semifinals.
Well, for a packaged deal that includes tickets to a 4:00 game, a 4:00 check-in is a little inconvenient.
Last year wifi was free at the hockey tournament but a pay per day extra at basketball. It will be interesting to see if we have to pay this year.

They do that so the maid service has time to clean rooms after the check-out. As noted, if you call ahead they will accommodate you.
