Title: @Colgate online video
Post by: sah67 on February 16, 2010, 12:42:19 AM
For those who can't see the game on Time Warner Sports, Colgate runs live video streams on the same All Access platform that Redcast uses.  A 24-hour pass is $5.95.  If we're lucky, they'll use the Time Warner feed as Redcast did during the North Dakota games.

It's on SNY tonight.  For those with Directv, it's channel 639.

Thanks for the reminder. Too much ice-related stuff tonight, and an unusual Tuesday night Cornell game in February slipped off my radar.

I checked DirecTV - it appears in my area (DC) it's blacked out unfortunately. I have the Sports Pack too.

Anyone know whether it's only available in NY via DirecTV?

Figured it out.  For SNY, they blackout zip codes not in NY, NJ, CT and northern PA.

Called up DirecTV and changed my effective zip code to ... 14850!!!!

Set to watch the game now!

SNY is only supposed to black out professional games - not things like this. They want you to buy the NHL package, etc... - so they black out the non-local zip codes for stuff like that, even if you have the Sports Pack.   So I don't get it -- but anyway.

The zip code trick is a good one though .... They have no way of checking.  As long as your bills get paid.  I live in PA, but use a NY zip code so I can get all the NY teams in all 4 sports for "free" as part of the Sports Pack without needing to pay for the packages.

That's exactly the argument I used to the DirecTV dudes.  It all worked out great, but changing temporarily to the NY stations totally messed up my Tivo recordings of the Olympics, and my wife's recording of American Idol (got in trouble for that ::doh::)

But it was worth it.

Do they archive the games?

Thanks for this. I got the news just in time to have my wife DVR the game.
