Anyone else getting "404 Not Found" errors on the Dartmouth webcast?
At least the live stats on the CU athletic website seems to be working.
http://cornellbigred.ocsn.com/livestats/m-hockey/index.html
Dan Murphy is the ref tonight.
Jessiman with a slash at 0:07. Very nice. :-D
Goal Vesce?
vesce to make it 1...
Cornell seems to have come out flying....
RPI 1-0 over Harvard
Dartmouth finally gets a couple SOG, currently 9-2 in favor of CU.
Harvard ties it at 1
If you're looking for the Dartmouth webcast, go reread the Dartmouth Audio thread. Maybe what worked for me will work for all...
Dartmouth coming on stronger...has 8 of the last 9 shots.

Moulson!
2-0 CU
Moulson (Vesce, Baby)
2-0 end of first
what are you talking about?
End of 2nd Period: 2-0 Cornell.
SOG: CU 18, DC 11.
Let's keep it up!!!
Lots more audio help appearing on the Darthmouth audio thread. If anyone still can't get audio, head over there. Thanks to those over there for helping me some.
Second period about to start. GBR!
3-0 Murray!
Halfway through the game, the scoring:
1:22 Cor pp Vesce 13 (Mark McRae 10, Paolini 11)
15:56 Cor Moulson 8 (Vesce 18, Bâby 21)
1:10 Cor Murray 4 (I didn't catch the assists)
It's the Dougie Murray Show out there. In addition to the goal, he's virtually taken Jessiman out of his game, and he's delivered a half dozen solid hits.
Jessiman -2 +/- so far. Long way to go.
4-0!
13:30 Cor Moulson 9 (Pegoraro 6, Knoepfli 10)
4-0. moulson again
we gotta keep this up!
Shots after 2 periods are 34-16, Cornell!
Let's Go Red!
Rebecca and I are getting so psyched about our trip to the New England next week.
CU all at Brown and Lynah East.
HAT TRICK Moulson 5-0!!!
HAT TRICK MOULSON!
Vesce's 4th point of the night and 33rd of the season.
Abbot with a SHG!!!! (I think....Murray was sent to the box, but no penalty?)
12:22 Cor Chris Abbott 3 (Cam Abbott 7, Mark McRae 11)
It wasn't a shorty -- Murray's penalty was a misconduct.
Cornell goes on pp now.
What are the fans saying?
"We want something-something"
Anybody pick that up?
we want hornby
Just curious,
Who got Dartmouth's lone goal? I stopped listening at 5-0.
Congrats on the win. Reminds me a lot of when we beat Hahvahd 7-0 my freshman year, only this time we're on the opposite end.
Hopefully we'll get revenge in Albany in the rubber match.
Oh well, 7-0-1 was still a helluva streak all things considered.
Just for the record, the lad's name is pronounced "leh-neh-view" isn't it?
Go Big Red!!

According to LiveStats, Hornby was on the ice for Dartmouth's goal--with Paolini and Varteressian?
The pronunciation seems to have changed slightly since last season. Then it was "LE-ne-view"; it's now "le-NE-view".
Yes, I know I'm being pedantic. :-D
Varteressian? Impossible, he didn't dress tonight.
Well, an excellent job by everyone to get the final revenge for the Seniors. Also, did anyone have just a gleeful little smile at the fact that Boucher got replaced in his (likely) final game at Lynah? It's the slap in the face I wish he'd gotten when we in section A and B helped to score that goal for CU in the loss a couple years back.

Lenny got screwed out a shout out number six while D. Murphy was calling a penalty on Murray. . .the game should have been a shut out!:-(
Does anyone recall the defensive pair that was on the ice for the sixth Cornell goal?? Collegehockeystats once again ::rolleyes::, did not list the pluses for the last Cornell goal. Any help would be greatly appreciated ~ thanks
Well, I had a great night tonight. Not only did the valiant Big Red triumph over the hated Little Green :-D , I won $344 in the 50/50 raffle tonight! WOOHOO!!!!! ;-)
Hey Jordan, I believe Mike M. and I occupied the seats next to you for that game when Boucher came over to taunt us (most of that season, actually). That was almost as fun as causing that Vermont defensemen to melt down in '00-'01. What was his name? Heyjak or something, I know he wore #6.
I can't remember his name...I just remember I picked him out of the program to taunt at random. I remember telling him he was the most worthless excuse for a defenseman I'd ever seen. Have you talked to Mike M recently? I haven't talked with him since Placid last year.
With the infamous Boucher taunt, I take personal responsibilty for at least 33% of that goal. ;) I was pretty viscious that night.

I'm gonna miss that monkey :-P
Well, LiveStats saw Iggulden, too.
Lenny's name is obviously French so anyone who doesn't speak French would pronouncing it wrong :-D
I haven't seen Mike since September, but he's down here in the DC area as well. I ought to drop him a line before the Harvard game.
Man, I miss Section A!
Could anybody enlighten me as to when the last freshman hattrick at Cornell was? Seems mighty impressive to me. Oh, and Murphy still sucks.
Still a shutout (clap-clap-clapclapclap)
I was going to guess Andrew McNiven vs. Harvard in about '98ish, but then I looked it up he only had 2 goals. Still - that's putting them where it counts, considering he only had 3 goals that season....
QuoteLenny's name is obviously French so anyone who doesn't speak French would pronouncing it wrong :-D
But wait, that can't be right. Dave can't be French; he didn't roll over for the Germans the first chance he got.
Canada topples Germany at world juniors

Well he's from BC, so he wasn't raised French Canadian... maybe that give you enough willpower to stand up to the Deutsch :-).
Right year, wrong guy.
Dave Kozier, at Harvard, 11/13/98 (http://www.hockey.cornell.edu/news/PastYears/Box99/harv.1113)
[Q]Could anybody enlighten me as to when the last freshman hattrick at Cornell was? Seems mighty impressive to me.[/Q]
The previous freshman hat-trick was also the last hat-trick we had. David Kozier @ Harvard 11/13/98.
And I'm under the impression that was the first hat trick since Chartrand in November 1995, in the game which broke the winless streak vs Harvard. What was the last hat trick (before last night) we had against anyone other than Harvard?
Dang - I was so close. Should have followed up on my hunch some more....
well yeah but his name is... ::twitch::
In response to John, the last hat trick I remember before Chartrand's was, in the 1994 play-in Tuesday playoff game against Princeton ... either Lopatka or Bumstead. Not sure which.
Previous to that, the one I remember was Ryan Hughes vs. Boston College in 1990. Perhaps others know if there were any in between the gaps.
Has anyone ever compiled a list of all time hat tricks? That would be interesting.
I'm on it. ;-)

I know it's often taboo to be overly criticial of the players, but I was awfully disappointed by the penalty Gleed took (and that's not hindsight).
He's gotta know that with 5 mins to go, there's one thing the team is playing for -- and that's the shutout. His man had gotten rid of the puck, Gleed did a good job tying him up along the boards, but he's got to be smarter than to wrestle his man down to the ice -- especially when the ref is 10 feet away, staring right at him.
That's all -- don't want to get on him too much. I'm sure he felt pretty crappy about it at the time. But he's got to have his head in the game.
I nearly punched a hole in my wall after the Hughes game. A 5-4 loss in which Hughes scored all 4 for us.
