Reading the Cornell-BU pre-game notes (http://www.cornellbigred.com/documents/2009/11/26/BOS.pdf?id=2477) that show streaks and the last time something happened such as hat tricks or back-to-back shutouts:
By Cornell
A made penalty shot........Joe Nieuwendyk - vs. Rensselaer, 2/27/87 (715 games)
A penalty shot attempt............Evan Barlow - at Quinnipiac, 11/8/08 (42 games)
(So how many have been attempted since Niewendyk? Doesn't say.)
Against Cornell
A made penalty shot.....................Brian Day, Colgate - 11/15/08 (40 games)
A penalty shot attempt.................Brian Day, Colgate - 11/15/08 (40 games)
Opponents have gotten a SHG and hat trick more recently than Cornell has. OTOH, back to back shutouts against Cornell haven't happened since 1963-64 while back to back shutouts by us happened last November.
Useless trivia for the most part and a bit incomplete such as listing the last 40-save game by us and the last 40- and-50 save games against us, and not who won the games (40 saves in victory seems more important). But useful for getting psyched for Saturday's game. LGR.

This must be why we're retiring his number. Sorry, just had to do it.
lower down it lists all penalty shots that Cornell has taken, and it appears we have missed our last eight attempts...

Correct (http://www.tbrw.info/weekly_Updates/cornell_Penalty_Shots.html).
How about "Greatest Attendance at a Cornell Hockey Game". Could it be one of the two Red Hot Hockey games at MSG?

Nope. The second largest city in New York State features a slightly larger hockey arena. 18,535 saw Cornell lose to New Hampshire in 2003 at the HSBC arena in Buffalo. The Garden holds 18,200.

It seemed to me that Cornell owned a larger portion of the crowd in 2007 than this one. Cornell fans definitely dominated (vocally & in numbers). But, I do think 2009 brought more BU fans than 2007. I don't know how this could be verified....

That would still make it the highest attendance at a SINGLE Cornellgame as opposed to a double header at the FF semifinals.

Those FF were still 2 separate games, so our number should be for our Buffalo game. However MSG is probably the highest to see a game, since at FF many don't come for both games and I'd guess the 18,535 is tickets sold. I doubt there were that many no shows at MSG.

Indeed, 18,551 tickets were sold for the other semifinal.
