The game @ Syracuse will be on espn360.com which is free for many broadband cable subscribers. Syracuse looks real good this year especially after killing Cal and UNC but I guess it could be a letdown game for them.

this is our only angle on this game ... they looked pretty unbeatable tonight.

Sort of like how Harvard beat BC last year right after BC beat #1 UNC

That's the spirit! Now I'm ready to watch.
Two interesting quotes from the basketball blog:
From the Syracuse Post Standard (http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2009/11/su-north_carolina_recap.html), Boeheim said "I told them one thing, Tuesday night (vs Cornell) is going to be the toughest game they have all year so hopefully they will get ready for that the next three days."
Hard to believe he thinks this is their toughest game all year, he must just being saying this to avoid the letdown factor.
Also whoever thought Calipari would be complimenting Cornell basketball as he said, "...people don't understand how good teams are. Miami [Ohio], Rider Cornell, you're talking about basketball teams that no one knows how good they are."

Also because we are so good at 3 point shots and they like the zone. That was the main point of the article and how we did so well last year. I sure wish this didn't conflict with Colgate.
I am heading up to Syracuse for the game and wanted to know if anybody knew any good cheap places to eat in Syracuse?

It probably doesn't qualify as cheap, but if you haven't been to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que (http://www.dinosaurbarbque.com/syrIndex.php) you should go.

I was there (Syracuse location) in late summer for the first time in many years and was really disappointed in the ribs. I remembered Dinosaur as being really good barbeque but this was decidedly mediocre.

You can't get any cheaper than FREE... Cornell Alumni Association of Central New York will be doing a pre-game event at Faegan's (734 S Crouse Ave). Free appetizers, but cash bar. Should be a nice turnout of Big Red fans. Starts at 5pm.

Then you caught it at the wrong time. It's still good.
There are some rest/bars around Marshall Street, but none that I'd call great, cheap maybe. If you just want to grab a quick pizza, the Varsity on S. Crouse is 3 blocks away and good; it'll probably be busy. Faegan's is next door to the Varsity and a reasonable college pub type place. Both are close so you can often find a reasonable parking place that early.
edit: See above, thanks. I forgot about that since I'm going in the opposite direction. (Syr to Ithaca)
I've got Ivy basketball on local TV tonight... Drexel v Penn. ::cuss::

go to Cosmos on marshall street ... walking distance from the Dome.
I can accept losing 88-73. But with the line at 13.5, I suppose I wish we had covered.

When the game was close, the were showing bits of it on ESPNews. Once Syracuse opened it up in the second half, they stopped. Either way, that's a better showing against 'Cuse than I can remember for a while.

Last year we were ahead by 16 at one point.

Not at the point that matters.

FWIW, consider:
- 11/20: Syracuse 87, UNC 71
- 11/24: Syracuse 88, Cornell 73
So we lost by a margin that was one point less then what UNC did against a hot 'Cuse team earlier in the week.::demented::

Does this mean we should be ranked ahead of UNC? ::banana::
Cornell is back on track, beating Toledo (in Philly) 78-60. Tonight, Vermont and then Sunday night, Drexel. FWIW, Drexel beat Vermont last night and plays Toledo tonight. A crazy pace for a tournament, but I suppose that's what they do at the Great Alaska Shootout and Chaminade tournaments also.
Of course, those are TOURNAMENTS, so it matters whether you win in the first round or not. UMass lost in AC last night, to nobody's surprise. Alabama, for those following things that will affect our RPI, beat Baylor earlier this week.

And a win against UVM, after being down at halftime.
