Firstly, Twitter is really really stupid and I'm not sure anyone can convince me otherwise.

That being said, if a recruit subscribes to Coach D's twitter feed, are there NCAA implications if he gets too many updates or if the feed is too promotional about CU? I'm no expert on recruiting rules but it seems to me like a new way for coaches to sidestep rules about contacting recruits via phone, email, and text.

Twitter only works in one direction so it shouldn't be a violation.  It's more like viewing a Cornell website than a contact from a coach/booster.  It might be a different story if the Twitter feed had specific information targeted to a recruit but I assume that's not what the coach would be doing.
