Princeton beats Brown 11-6, splitting the Ivy title with Cornell, but handing Cornell the autobid on the H2H tiebreak.
Game on in Ithaca...
Would be nice if Princeton's win puts them in the RPI top five.
Thanks Princeton and thanks for the updates on the game. Let's finish up on a high note here.
Romero unassisted after Hurley missed the net from in close.
Derkac playing long-stick today.
Finn missed point-blank. Gotta take advantage of these opportunities.
Finn on a bounce shot off the cross-bar. 2-0
Derkac with a long-stick transition goal.
Seibald to Hurley inside. Great feed. 4-0
Hopkins-Loyola in OT.
Well, Cornell really dominated that first quarter. Hopefully domination will continue and the seniors will have one more game in Ithaca next weekend.
Silberlicht stops Hurley from the doorstep.
Hurley misses in-close again.
Pannell saved. Nothing doing on a 6x4.
Cornell has 19 shots, but only nine on goal.
Hopkins wins in OT. Could get a top four seed.
And we're still shooting wide.
Lang unassisted on transition. He'll play offensive middie next year.
Thomson unassisted. 6-1
Pannell unassisted. 7-1
Finn denied in-close.
Glynn from Finn.
According to laxpower's RPI listing, Princeton is now #4 and Duke #3, giving Cornell two top five wins. This may change as results of later games come in. Hofstra is now #7, giving Hopkins no top five wins.
Looks like a high school game this half.
We're looking awful...just going through the motions. Three straight for Hobart.
Cornell's taken one shot this period. Time for a time-out.
Nice that Cornell rolls up the score in the first half to 8-1 with 4 second to play in the half to put the game out of reach except, oops, it's down to 8-5 in the third.
Syracuse up to #3 in RPI and Duke drops to #5. Princeton still #4. Two through five separated by .003.
Really sloppy period. Like their heads are not in it.
Mistake taking Myers out, I think.
Two shots for Cornell in the third period.
Cornell's shot selection is terrible. What happened to the patience against Princeton?
Another poor shot choice by Lang.
Hurley again blows one from the doorstep. He's too casual with those shots.
Hurley again is stopped alone on the doorstep.
Lead down to one. Two games in a row with a desultory second half.
Another poor shot selection by Glynn. 16 saves for Silberlicht.
Hobart has six goals on nine shots this half. Cornell has none on seven.
One more terrible shot.
Christ, that was ugly.
Definition of escaping by the skin of your teeth. Such a poorly played half with no goals. I'm not sure they deserved to hang on.
So is seven-goal lead the most dangerous lead in lacrosse the way two goals is in hockey? Sheesh, that was a nail-biter. But it was exciting.
Ridiculous

Did not in the slightest.
(Deep Baritone, coming from the heavens):
"Yes Al, It Was."
Ain't RPI great? Cornell's win moves Princeton up to #3 and Syracuse down to #5 with Duke holding at #4. Stay tuned. Two more games to be played.
Hopkins, Virginia, Princeton, Duke and Syracuse look reasonably secure in the top five. Two through five is a crapshoot, however (.652, .651, .650, .650). Still have UMBC-Stony Brook and Towson-Villanova to play.

And Notre Dame v Ohio STate on Sunday.

'Nova and UMBC with four and seven goal leads respectively after three.
