Title: Hockey in the Comics
Post by: Rita on May 02, 2009, 09:21:32 AM
Today's (5/2/09) Doonesbury (http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/index.html) has an interesting take about Joe Kegger, hockey games, and academics. Unfortunately, no Cornell alums were mentioned, thus the JSID and not the main forum. ;-)

This story line has been going for about week, so if you aren't a regular reader, you may want to read the recent archives.

In case you were wondering about the not-timely Sarah Palin jokes, it isn't a recent storyline; it is a 'flashback' being run during a short hiatus.

Here's the direct link (http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/index.html?uc_full_date=20090502) to that strip.

Hockey season must be coming soon if the comics are any indication. In today's (9/1/09) Get Fuzzy comic (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/comics/getfuzzy.html) Bucky Katt has some new takes on team names.

Bucky's Habs logo can't be any worse than the "prison" uniforms that Montreal wore earlier this year.
