Title: NYC Viewing for 3/20 Semifinal
Post by: rojo on March 16, 2009, 11:33:08 AM
I can't head up to Albany until Saturday, so the best bet for me is Ship of Fools. I will coordinate Friday semifinal with Ship of Fools. NHL Network will have the game (7 pm est.). Respond to this post if you will be at Ship of Fools so I can give them a head count. Hopefully we can get them to give us at least a couple of TVs on the first Friday of March Madness. If you will get there early enough to also catch some or all of the B-ball game (starts at 3 pm), please include this in your post.

I believe Ship of Fools is already one of a few "official" NYC viewing spots for the basketball game, by arrangement with Cornell's Metro office.

I'll be in Albany.

Thanks, Beeeej. I put in a call to Jessica (NCAA b-ball coordinator) at Metro to get the scoop for Ship of Fools and possibly avoid overlapping efforts.

I'd be able to make it uptown to SOF on Friday (hopefully albany on saturday). Gonna be a big sports weekend (double big red, march madness and double rangers!)

Don't forget Cornell wrestling at the NCAA championships in St. Louis (I don't know if there's any television until the finals), and as an appetizer, Cornell-Duke lacrosse Tuesday night.

If only I didn't find lacrosse to be totally unbearable and skill-less... (a debate for another forum indeed, but go red anyway)

That's ok. You should hear what lacrosse thinks about you.
