Title: Kudos to Pannell
Post by: scoop85 on March 10, 2009, 11:19:51 PM
Inside Lacrosse touts Rob Pannell as the top Freshman so far this season:

Not bad, considering Cornell's Freshmen got very little pre-season recognition from IL or the "experts" at Laxpower

Tough to say otherwise when he was leading the NCAA (everyone, not just freshmen) in points per game as of the end of this past weekend's games.  Only two other freshmen are over 3.3 points per game and they've played MUCH weaker schedules; Pannell is (after the Canisius game) at 4.8 PPG.

It won't be real until the Swami disses Pannel as overrated.

Listened to last night's game, Jim.  Missed everything else.  Was able to check scores periodically, but the time change and peripatetic tour schedule made listening or watching all but impossible.  Hoping to get to Albany if tonight goes well.;-)  Wonderful trip.  Still on Middle East time, however.
