Down 3-4 after 1st quarter.
Up 7-6 at the half.
6 of 7 goals by the attack, I believe.
After Virginia rolled up two very quick goals at the start, the first one a dozen seconds in, I got to lamenting that we were gonna get blown out and our chance for glory in the decade collapsed in that seminfinal game vs. Duke. Cornell showed real grit hanging tough and playing Virginia even. Who knows if Virginia is an awesome fourth-quarter team. [edit add: yup] So far, the Big Red shows it belongs in the top ten this year and probably the top five, too. LGR.
8-11 early in the 4th. The whole game has seen sloppy play by both teams but we were the sloppier during the third period
VA scores 3 since I've been listening, now 14-8 Cavs. Did Harer make any saves earlier in the game?
8-14. We are falling apart, unfortunately. 7+ min left.
14-9, then Hurley stoned on a point-blank shot.
10-14 final
Respectable effort against a talented team. Shows we can compete with the best, and that we should only improve as the season progresses.
We needed better goaltending. Ghitelman made at least three amazing saves.
Nice change from hockey to see aggressive offense and a good attempt at running with a top ranked team.
Does anyone know why the team had to sit out in the sun in 80 degree weather at halftime?
