Post by: ithacat on February 26, 2009, 05:04:47 PM
I wonder which one might have wrestled up or down a class?

Interesting question. Last year, O'Connor made AA at 149 while Leen was winning the national championship at 157. I suspect O'Connor would have had to stay at 149 this year.

I wonder if that would have pushed DJ down a class? Obviously, O'Conner would have made this team a more realistic NC contender. Oh well...keeping my fingers crossed.

On another note: I believe there are 3 Cornell recruits wrestling in the NYS championships, which began today. Kyle Dake and Mike Nevinger (in the same class & division), and Cody Hutcheson advance through round one. Corey Dake, Kyle's younger brother, also won his first match.

Here's an article on Corey that appeared this morning:

Dake, Nevinger, Dake, and Hutcheson have advanced to the semis.
