Scoreless tie.
Saves:
Karpowich, 27
Scrivens, 34
Q at Y on NESN at 7 tonight, for the RedCast audio-only crowd.
Anybody besides me find b2 atrocious last night? Are you willing to take another $7.00 chance tonight in the hope that Tech's computers are better than SLU's?::cuss::
We'll try this one old school.
Thank you Trotsky. I really didn't want to know if my bad luck with game threads still was around.
LGR!
B2 worked well at my place last night, but that isn't always true.

The women did their part, spanking the Knights 4-1 at Lynah this afternoon.
Almost 3min into first period before we clear it into Clarkson zone.::cry::
Some decent chances on the first Cornell pp; now Scrivens with a big save.
Scrivens big save on 3 on 2. He's looking good so far.
Is this the fewest posts ever for one period of hockey???
Where is everybody?
Fast period.
B'ball up 18-9 over Yale.
Quote from: TimVWhere is everybody?
Hiding in gopher holes, afraid to poke their heads out in case its another debacle like last night?
Sacrificing chickens to ward off another collapse?
Seated in pentagrams, burning black candles, summoning demons to give us our first North Country win in more years than it is amusing to think about?
CK
I'll guess (c).
Q-pac and Yale 0-0. Lots of penalties called, all killed.
Red 34-13 at the half.
Cornell begins their second pp.

Doing taxes. I need to get some of my money back from Uncle Sam. :-P
Killed.
So, I randomly click the floating menu to the right during play, and this is the best link so far:

Cornell pp #3 upcoming.
... and killed. Nice set ups but no good shots.
Can I get one with number 1 and "Dryden" on the back? Al wants a Dryden jersey...
Very fast. We're at the end of 2nd and Michigan-Notre Dame who started at 7:30 have 1 minute left in the first period.
Clarkson is playing really good defense. We're not getting to our own rebounds at all.
No help from Q tonight. Yale up 2-0 w 7 min left in 2nd.
Red 49-16 (!)

TV games naturally go more slowly. QU-Yale still has 6:00 left in the 2nd, and they started at the same time as our game.
Understand about the TV time outs, but still, we've had an intermission and skated an entire 2nd period (with a 30 min head start) so it's still pretty quick.

That would be Drydian!
Yale now up 2-0.

Sounds like Scrivens just made the save of the night.
Incredible save by Scrivens!!!
Joe Devin in the box and b2 video goes out during PP!
64-36 Cornell final. But it wasn't that close.
Can we please score this game is making me so nervous!
Cornell kills off the pp. 8:30 to go in regulation.
3:33 to go.
Kennedy not moving well after some hit.
Is helped off. Doesn't look good. No penalty.
Crowd claps then chants "on your feet!"
Scrivens with his second magnificent save in as many minutes.
LGR!
The b2 announcer is annoying me greatly.
OVERTIME
3rd period shots 15-5 Clarkson.
Yale now up 3-0 with 11 min left. If we lose or tie this we're in second place.::doh::
Brendan Nash gets an awful lot of his shots blocked. Oh well. LGR
"oh what a silly play!"
Thanks announcer!

Yeh - I fixed it.
Clarkson uses its timeout with less than 3 to play in OT.
A giant scrum, b2 goes out, comes back and everyone is stopped on the ice.
Great work by the Gallagher-Collins-Devin line almost results in the game winner.
Cornell TO with 22 seconds remaining in OT
WHEW!
Game over. The defensive part was good for Cornell, but even less offense that Friday. One goal and one point for the weekend. Yuck.
Well, if there's ever a "good" tie, I guess this would have to be it.
according to the announcer, for clarkson this tie was like kissing your really hot sister.
WHEW!
more like Ugh!!

Hm. We had 1 goal and 3 points the first league weekend...
Scrivens played a great game. It shows how together his head is, given what happened last night.
Well, if there's ever a "good" tie, I guess this would have to be it.
Yes. Take the point and get outta town.

I'll take 5 of 8 from the North Country teams most any year regardless of how they come.
Right- Clarkson had a one-point weekend too. And they were playing at home.
Well, if there's ever a "good" tie, I guess this would have to be it.
Agreed. After last night's defensive debacle, Scriven's and the D coming back and getting a shut-out is very encouraging.
At least this 0-0 tie didn't have to be "resolved" and end up breaking my (and many other people's) heart! (yes, Green Bay 2006 still stings).

All of the highlights appeared to be against the same team. Was it Azerbijan, Turkey, or Russia?
Is helped off. Doesn't look good. No penalty.
Crowd claps then chants "on your feet!"
They were yelling pussy, at least untill we shamed them to stop. The "On your feet" was their version of "Townies up" with 2 exceptions. First, they post it on the message board for a minute or so before anyone notices, and then when the chant goes on, no one stands. Oh well.
The Cornell seating was broken in two, most of us were in the corner next to the standing Clarkson students. The others, mainly hockey booster types, were in the first two rows behind the Cornell bench. I thought it would have been neat if when the on your feet chant went up, they were to stand blocking the view of the Clarksonians (?) behind them.

Please don't think the "Pussy" chant was something everyone was part of. I, along with a lot of people were yelling for the "fans" to shut up and show some class. and I never realized the irony of the poor timing of the "On Your Feet" chant right afterwards.

Not everyone, but a huge amount of the student sections. I assume it happens with some regularity; it doesn't seem it would have been spontaneous.
Many of the freshmen just don't get what it means to be classy fans... unfortunately, I doubt they'll learn as there aren't enough upperclassmen around to tell them to shut up.

How long did it take us to get rid of "Scrape him off the ice"?
