Title: North country online video
Post by: sah67 on January 29, 2009, 05:54:32 PM
Just a quick FYI for those who wanted to watch this weekend's games online: both SLU and Clarkson use B2 for online video.

As usual, you'll have to wait until a minute or two before (or sometimes after) game time for the link to become active and allow you to purchase a single game subscription.

How much does it usually cost?

The RPI game was $7 if I remember correctly.

I have a mac. And if I remember correctly, B2 service does not work with safari nor firefox running on OSX.

I had pull out my company laptop (which was a PC) to watch the game.

Now B2 has access for the MAC/Safari as well.

But I only see links for "multiple event passes".  Clicking on it only gives you the option to buy season passes.  The support section 'helpfully' lists a season pass as a common question.  Whom must I hit from behind to figure out how to get a single event pass?

And is the b2 feed any good?

Reading the entire message you just quoted would be a good start.  :)

Oh my god, how incredibly stupid.  It seems I've been the victim of too many boardings myself :-P

edited because I can't even spell "too".

The times I've used it I thought it was better than Redcast.

Is anyone else seeing the same choppy, stuttering video I'm seeing? The audio is fine, but the video stops and starts. I'll report this to B2 now.

Choppy video. Aweful sound - wait, that's the announcers. I liked that somebody broke in on their audio feed. Announcers just called our power play a "lethal one." Seven bucks, no replay.

Could you please write to them too, Bill. Maybe if enough people complain...

Thanks.

... we'll get our seven bucks back?

But, yes, I will. This would have been barely adequate in the heydey of CSTV incompetence.

One nice thing: Either SLU fans are all midgets, or Camera 1 (is there a Camera 2 or 3?) is up so high fans heads don't get in the picture

How dare they.  Did they at least have the common courtesy to put it in High-Def and archive 8 camera angles in real time, bill?

This is frustrating, made more frustrating because of how the game is going. But B2 support keeps trying fix things from my end, refusing to acknowledge that the problem lies in their transmission.
