Looks like redcast is picking up the niagara broadcast based on the commercial that just showed up. However, its still from the press box where you don't get a great view of the ice and can actually see one of the broadcasters in the shot at times.

Was that the 5 second fencing snippet? I thought somebody had patched in his porn.
Got some nice shots of campus there before the game too. Niagara's white uniforms with silver pants looks hideous.

nice look from b. nash.... didnt know he could handle his stick like that
Was not expecting a pretty goal-line deke from Brendon Nash.
Greening sets up Barlow with the best chance of the night so far. Still scoreless.
5 mins and a game misconduct on Roeszler of all people for boarding.
Roezsler gets sent off for 5 for hitting from behind.
Niagara takes a penalty, then R. Nash goes off for tripping, so we're at 4x3 for Niagara now, and the 2nd period will begin the same way.
Yikes...Yale can shoot the puck.
You don't see the actual hit, but it looked like the hit on Barlow at the end kinda led with the elbow or forearm. Good to see that he didn't have to go to the locker room early but if Roeszler's hit was hfb, then that should have been a penalty too.
Niagara Sports Network (on FCS-Pacific) is showing an incredibly boring video diary of Niagara's trip to Yost, as shot by the players on a camcorder. ::smashfreak::
Made it through all of the penalties.
Greening! From R. Nash.
Beautiful goal from Greening on a super pass from Riley Nash!
Second assist to Evan Barlow.
Scrivens nearly paid dearly for one of his typical skate-to-the-blueline clear attempts.

He certainly hasn't lost some of these wandering habits.
So... many... penalties.
We kill off over 1 minute of 5x3

Mostly Scrivens gets away with it.

Jacob, you keep typing in all the penalties, not just the scoring, and you're gonna finish with carpal tunnel syndrome.
At last Niagara draws a penalty after a half dozen on Cornell.
RPI leading Q after two, 2-0
Princeton 2-1 over U after two
LSSU 4-1 over Colgate after two
Got some nice shots of campus there before the game too. Niagara's white uniforms with silver pants looks hideous.
I noticed that too. Yuck indeed.
With those ugly red nike jerseys Cornell might as well gone out to complete the fashion nightmare and gotten some long hockey pants ala the 80's Flyers; red or black, either color would have worked with the hideous theme of the night.
Niagara can't count, and we go right back on the pp after the first expires.
Colgate's on their 3rd sieve. 5-1 Lakers....make that 6-1.
Barlow has shot it wide about 5 times tonight...just when he thought he was off the schneid after his goal at UMass.
At least this game will aid our PK percentage.
Union now leads Princeton 3-2
Niagara's sieve really covers the high over the net shot well on defensive zone faceoffs.
How much time left?
Union now leads Princeton 3-2
Early in the 2nd period: UM-Duluth v. SCSU tied at 1.
How much time left?
7:23
Penalty on B. Nash late in the game. Who would have thought?
Penalty on B. Nash late in the game. Who would have thought?
Must have been "jealous" that brother Riley got to spend 4 minutes in the box tonight?
3:30 in periond, less than 45 sec in penalty
2:33 non-icing icing.
1:37 real icing. Face-off in the Cornell zone. Time out Purple Eagles.
1:37 left. TO Niagara, face-off in the Cornell D zone.
M. Kennedy ENG!
M Kennedy (ENG)
mike kennedy eng! whew
And now we learn how to score. 3-0 Cornell!
And brother Patrick gets one too on a bad Niagara giveaway!
P Kennedy (with goalie back in)
P. Kennedy.
3-0 Final.
Yikes! UMass ties UHN 2-2 on an EAG goal with four seconds left.
Edit: And U beats P, 3-2. B ties H. And Q ties EPI. And Y beats D, 2-1, with 55 SOG. Y may be tough down the road.
Is it just me, or does B. Nash need a healthy scratch? Will this do him any good? His play lately (exp. last night) has been deplorable. Lackadaisical, slow, sloppy and not smart. Is there anybody better?
His play lately (exp. last night) has been deplorable. Lackadaisical, slow, sloppy and not smart. Is there anybody better?
I think he's just incredibly inconsistent. Not even night-by-night, but shift-by-shift, he goes between making great plays and looking very slow, awkward, and out of it. To me, that hints at a lingering injury.
IIRC (I may not), he *has* had a "not obviously health related" scratch this year, but it may have been an injury hangover.
He looked great in his first year, then he had surgery and has not been the same since.
He plays a tremendous amount of minutes. We need him out there.
Would I like him to be more consistent? Of course! But we can't do without him.
That's why I was wondering out loud...who takes his place? He did have a couple of good touches last night, but the remainder of the game...eek! I guess we will see tonight..LGR!
