Oh goody, it's our old friends at CSTV All Access! ::rolleyes::

Thus ends my plan to buy this one game.
Just a reminder that the puck drops at 5PM eastern today.
the main downside seems to be that you can only buy a month package not a single game..

Indeed. Just gotta remember go cancel the subscription right after the game, if you do spring for it.
You can get the uMass radio feed for free.

I just signed up for the monthly service, just to watch this game, of course. Am I missing something, or is there really no way to get anywhere close to a full screen view?

Double-clicking on the image should do make it full screen.
Video is kind of jerky for me.
Wow, this is awesome. The video dies every 30 seconds and then you have to watch the same ad again to resume.
I'm so glad we're not using these jokers any more.
Thanks, (Double-clicking worked.) You'd think the little "full-screen icon" should work too, but that would be too easy.
Video is extremely jerky here too.

I just sent the following message to support@cstv.com:

I just subscribed to your service, to watch the Cornell vs. UMass Amherst hockey game. The transmission is terrible. It is extremely jerky. Can you please see about correcting this immediately? If you can't, I will be seeking a full refund, and cancellation of my service.
Thanks.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a refund, at least based on the email alone. If do want a refund your best bet is to call, speak to a human, and then ask to speak to the human's supervisor. Mentioning how you will have your credit card company harass them, will help your cause.
However, my past dealing with CSTV was met with very poor customer service and a standard "no refund" policy.
Good luck.
They fixed it, so I won't be seeking a refund. But if I had sought a refund, and not received it, I'm sure I would have had success by disputing the charge through my credit card company. For amounts under $10 or $15, the cc company usually just credits you back, without even going through the dispute process.
Video was much smoother in the 2nd, although there was still the problem of the feed dropping every few minutes. Fortunately I happen to have two laptops at the moment, so I just kept the redcast going on the other one.
The radio announcers, who seem completely unaware of the fact that their audio is live on video even when they are not live on the radio, were just talking about illegal gambling, and their participation in it. Someone then reminded them that their audio was live on B2. Funny stuff.

B2? I wish.

Yeah. That made it even funnier. The one guy with a clue was still wrong.
When you cancel your monthly subscription, they ask you to tell them why you are cancelling. The first reason I chose was, honestly, the fact that I had joined to watch a single event. (This was one of their selections.) But then they give you a field to add additional information. If you, like me, were annoyed by the logos and "Let's Go UMass" images displayed instead of the action, while play was taking place, you may want to take a moment and tell them that.
