Final SOG is 34-27 SCSU.
18:45 2nd SCSU-1 Roe PPG (Swanson, Lasch)
18:25 2nd CORN-1 J. Devin (B. Nash, Gallagher)
10:54 2nd CORN-2 R. Nash SHG ( Barlow, J. Devin)
11:55 2nd CORN-3 J. Devin (Gallagher, Whitney)
10:55 3rd SCSU-2 Lasch (Roe)
We looked very good off the opening faceoff, putting several shots on SCSU's backup goalie, Dunn...play is more even now.
Echo on B2 audio, but video looks good.
SCSU pp coming up, P. Kennedy went off for elbowing.
Getting an echo on the B2 audio - anybody know how to fix that?
Also the SCSU color guy keeps moaning every so often - radiorgasms?::bugeye::
homers.
The redcast audio is pretty choppy. Sounds like they aren't getting a good signal from WHCU.
Do these guys know any of the Cornell Roster??? Only names I've heard were Nash, Scrivens, and when penalty was announced.
Wild scramble in front of our net at the end of the SCSU pp, but Scrivens keeps it out. Back to full strength.
Keir Ross is back in the line up, btw.
Great individual effort by (who else) Greening to split two SCSU defenders and nearly stuff it in, but Dunn closes the door.
Cornell on the pp now.
I reported the echo to B2, and they already responded, asking for my transaction number so they could "find the game", even though I had identified the game.
SCSU takes another penalty just after they killed the last one...another pp for us.

SCSU kills their 2nd penalty.
And now SCSU gets their second pp...tripping on Mugford.
SCSU's leading scorer, Roe, goes off with what looked like a leg injury after a clean hit by Barlow.
Greening has a 2-on-1 with Seminoff but his shot is stopped by Dunn.
Sounds like both Barlow and Greening are buzzing this game.
*sigh*...Brendon Nash takes a CTH-Roughing penalty with 6 seconds left. Period over. SCSU gets 1:54 of pp at the beginning of the 2nd.
SOG in the 1st:
Cornell - 12
SCSU - 11
Taking too many penalties.
Greening is a beast!

Colgate beat Maine 3-2 in the first game of our tournament earlier, and Harvard lost 6-2 to Lake Superior State in the first round of the Badger Showdown.
Greening, Nash, and Barlow have half of Cornell's twelve shots on goal.
Well, the echo is gone...as is the rest of the sound.
I think they went away between periods. Sound is back sans echo.
Echo is gone...nice.
SCSU scores on a bang-bang backdoor play. Roe with the ppg.
Joe Devin answers right back with a deflection!
HELLYES!! WE SCORE!!!
B. Nash and Gallagher with the assists on Joe Devin's goal.
Did anyone catch the times on those 2 goals?
now if big nash will stay out of the box, we should be alright.
wow whoever took that breakaway cannot finish. great deke but he shot it right into the back of scrivens' boot.
We can't count.::pissed::
SHORTY!!!!
Nash scores shorthanded from Barlow
riley nash scores, really wish the video had replay...
Joe Devin scores. 3-1
"How?....How are they behind right now?::cry::"
"How?....How are they behind right now?::cry::"
These guys are hilarious.
"How can this be 3-1? Mooooaaaaannnn..."**]
"How?....How are they behind right now?::cry::"
The smartass answer is of course "because they scored fewer goals than Cornell!" :-D
"Hard hits by Cornell in this hockey game." Finally got one right.
Is anyone else listening on redcast? If so does it sound like really bad radio reception to you? Keeps fading in and out on me.
I'm listening to the whcu over-the-air broadcast, and the sound quality is terrible.
Is anyone else listening on redcast? If so does it sound like really bad radio reception to you?
Yes. The electrons are tired from coming all this way.
Amazingly, even the pre-recorded interviews (Schafer pre-game, Michael Kennedy first intermission, Greening second intermission) sound awful.
I'm listening to the whcu over-the-air broadcast, and the sound quality is terrible.
Yeah, I figured it wasn't redcast's problem the way it sounded. At least I've managed to hear all of the goals.
"St. Cloud is out-grade-A'ing Cornell...seems like it should be 3-1 St. Cloud, not Cornell" - I love these guys.
good period in terms of scoring, but defense needs to be much better. the game turned on several great saves by scrivens/inability of the st cloud state swedes to score
"St. Cloud is out-grade-A'ing Cornell...seems like it should be 3-1 St. Cloud, not Cornell" - I love these guys.
Sounds like their finishing is a D-.
One of the St. Clous announcers just said something I think we all can agree with: referring to himself, ",,.I'm an idiot." Yes--yes, you are.
Cornell penalty after a crazy bounce off the glass that dropped the puck right in front of the net.
It looks like the results so far today have impactated the pairwise ranking a lot. According to CHN, Cornell is tied for #1 in the pairwise ranking.
Scrivens with some more big saves on the current SCSU powerplay.
We better move into the top 5 of the poll this week then.
And we kill it off, but we now have coincidental minors. Tripping on us, unsportsmanlike conduct on SCSU for some back-talk to the ref.
4x4.
The SCSU announcers sound genuinely pissed that Scrivens keeps making saves.
you guys are listening to the SCSU radio? Is it more reliable than stupid redcast?
Scrivens keeps saving our bacon. We really need to tighten it up and keep this lead...or hey, maybe pop another one in?
I'd like to see the puck in their end for a bit.
SCSU dominating the scoring chances and draw a tripping penalty now after nearly poking it past SCrivens. This leads to a loud "Awwww MAN!" from the SCSU announcer ;)
The play by play guy is OK although he rarely names the Cornell players. The color guy is very annoying.
We're too much "in a shell."
one of the announcers just told scrivens "STOP THAT!"
you guys are listening to the SCSU radio? Is it more reliable than stupid redcast?
It's certainly more free.
The SCSU announcers sound genuinely pissed that Scrivens keeps making saves.
We paid the $10 to watch on B2, and the audio is the St. Cloud announcers.
Ouch, Scrivens took a shot to the neck that ended up under his throat guard...he seems to be ok.
Another weird bounce off the glass ends up right in front of the net and Lasch pokes it in just after the SCSU pp ends.
Tough nine minutes now.

The SCSU announcers sound genuinely pissed that Scrivens keeps making saves.
We paid the $10 to watch on B2, and the audio is the St. Cloud announcers.
According to Jason, the Cornell team was supposed to supply the audio. I guess they switched because he sounds like he's broadcasting underwater.
I don't know how much more of these SCSU guys I can take. It's like they handed the mic to some random SCSU fans in the stands.
Wow, just switched to the SCSU broadcast and that moaning is terrible.
We are completely on our heels. SCSU goes back on the pp with 5 mins remaining and if we don't pick up our game soon, our lead's going to be gone.
Too many penalties. Eight on Cornell, three on SCSU.
And SCSU negates it and takes a penalty just a few seconds into their powerplay. This also draws the night's umpteenth "AWWWWW, MAN!!" from the SCSU color guy.
Thank you, Marvin.
4 on 4 after a hooking penalty leads to an "ooooooh mannnn"
Wow, the SCSU color guy pulls the Facetimer routine and starts with the "SHOOOT, SHOOOOT!"...unbelievable.
Shots now 15-4 St. Cloud for the third. Yikes.
the announcer must have a kid on the scsu. probably lasch the way he drools all over him.
Michigan St. just beat North Dakota, so Cornell dropped back to #3
SCSU timeout with 48 seconds left. Empty net for SCSU as well...LGR!!
Clear the zone, guys.
3-2 final! Greening hit the post on an empty-net attempt.
It's an all-ECAC final tomorrow against 'Gate.
Scrivens was the 1st star of the game for sure.
"SHOOOOOT!!!" Wait, it's over? Thank God.
Wow, the SCSU color guy pulls the Facetimer routine and starts with the "SHOOOT, SHOOOOT!"...unbelievable.
Maybe it's just me, but I was getting a pretty good laugh out of those guys. Especially when the color guy started up with the, "shooot, shoot!" And I thought the broadcast was more of a Roe lovefest, but Lasch was a close second.
Those poor guys were taking that loss pretty hard though, especially with all those "grade A" chances SCSU was getting. ::cry::
Those poor guys were taking that loss pretty hard though, especially with all those "grade A" chances SCSU was getting. ::cry::
Maybe they have grade inflation at SCSU too?
Michigan St. just beat North Dakota, so Cornell dropped back to #3
According to the calculations on SiouxSports, Cornell is tied for #1 in pairwise with Northeastern, with Northeastern winning their comparison with us based on higher RPI: .6069 to .6068.
