Post by: ansky629 on December 06, 2008, 02:30:57 PM
Cornell is playing at Mnnesota today on ESPN360 if anybody has it.  Looks like Dale is playing today which is good news.  It's currently 18-17 Minn with 9 to go in the first half

Very confusing.  The score at the top of the GameCast page on ESPN shows 40-28, yet every other mention of the score says 33-31 Cornell.

That's very odd. The game is available for free on ESPN360 if you have FIOS. Rest assured, the score is 40-28 at the half.

Watching on 360, they are definitely up 40-28. Dominating in every facet. Louis Dale started the game (his first of the year coming back from a hamstring injury). Wittman with 4 threes at the half including a 30 footer in transition.

44-31 Red with 17:30 to go in the game.  Dale just committed his 4th foul, not moving as well as usual, but that's to be expected, needs to get his stamina back up for the Ivy season (which he will).

I was just looking at Minnesota's schedule. I thought Syracuse was bad with their record of not traveling and just bringing in cupcakes for non-conference games. Check out Minnesota (http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/teams/schedule/MN).

They played one road game out of the first FOURTEEN (a one point win at Colorado St.). They play 20 homes games and ten road games, nine of which are Big Ten games.

46-42 Red 13:30 to go.  Sloppy, sloppy 2 minutes.

48-46 Red 9:21 to go.  Dale just fouled out.

Now 51-48 Minny. Quite and impressive second half implosion.

Now 58-48. Cornell now on a mission to reach double digits in the 2nd half.

I didn't feel like starting a new thread, but the Minnesota Timberwolves fired Coach Wittman today (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3754151).

FWIW, the talking heads on ESPN put most of the blame of the T-wolves sorry state on McHale and upper management.
