These announcers are terrible!
These announcers are terrible!
That's part of the entertainment, especially when it's the Brown announcers!
Nice shift by the R. Nash line.
These announcers are terrible!
I don't think the Dartmouth guys are really that bad (especially compared to Brown, as Judy mentioned). They cover the fundamentals like periodically saying the score and the time left, which is more than some can manage.
So far everybody looks great. Hope they can keep it up.
Entertaining period of hockey. Lots of good breakouts and passes for Cornell, and several great combos by the Nash and Kennedy lines.
Roeszler!
2-0 Cornell.
Interference coming to Dartmouth. Surprise! It's a Gaudet.
Penalty Gaudet - Interference
And Jimmy Gaudet goes to the box to give us a PP. Time to capitalize, guys.
goal krueger
Krueger! 3-0!
Team is rolling right now...
And Dartmouth continues the unenviable pattern of taking a penalty after a Cornell goal.
Krueger! Lookin' good!
Another 2min pp
Krueger's been putting those shots from the point on goal all night. Nice that he got one.
Live stats said Kary scored it, arthur said Krueger so I don't know what to go with.
Shots-on-goal 7-0 in the second.
5 on 3 20sec
And ANOTHER
5x3 for 20 seconds
Dartmouth reverting to Gaudet form.
Shots now 12-0.
The dartmouth color guy has gone from "big green is really looking good and controlling play in the offensive zone" to "it's november, playoffs are in march, this game doesn't really matter"
Probably because that philosophy worked so well for them last year.
That was the best period of Cornell hockey in 5 years.
I think the Dartmouth announcers had the shots at 16-3 for the period, with the last two of those coming in the last ten-ish seconds.
That was the best period of Cornell hockey in 5 years.
This weekend this team has cycled the puck as well as any Cornell team since the '03 team.
Ahaha...
Dartmouth announcer -- "I don't know how to gild this, so I'm just gonna come out and say it: you can't win 'em all."
I wanted to the interviewer (Jason?) to ask Krueger about North Dakota next weekend. I really wanted to hear what our guys have to say about going there.
Dartmouth guys saying that there are 32 people listening online. "Great numbers!" So whaddya think? 75% Cornell? :-)
I wonder how many f the 32 people on line are Cornell fans?
Did anyone catch the e-mail address he gave out (maybe it's in the link somewhere)? We could entertain him.
I think it was dartmouthhockey@yahoo.com? Maybe?
They sounded pretty slap-happy in the second intermission even without our help...
Dartmouth goal, Jones.
Looked like Devin went down for a poke-check and missed. Jones went around him while he was down on the ice.

Yes that's right.
People watching: is momentum/quality play shifting to Dartmouth as much as the Dartmouth announcers would indicate?

Don't know what the Dartmouth announcers are saying, but I'd guess "yes", if only because Dartmouth had no presence in the 2nd.
I swear this color commentator's high. He's so all over the place.
If I could ban one cheer from Lynah, it would be "Bend Over."

Oh good. Great time for them to have a 5x3. ::barf::
If I could ban one cheer from Lynah, it would be "Bend Over."
If only the crowd could sustain "Let's Go Red"s as long...
5x3 killed; 2:18 left.
Sieve pulled.
1:20 remaining.
"These fans bleed red!"
"These fans bleed red."
::screwy::
Hey - ! He loves us. What fantastic announcers!
w00t!
The announcers ride back with the team?
Nice weekend. Now 3-0 in Ivy play.
"That sound you hear is the Cornell fans' knuckles dragging on the ground as they leave Lynah Rink."
You stay classy, Dartmouth broadcasters. ::flipc::
Ahem (9:03)
Live stats said Kary scored it, arthur said Krueger so I don't know what to go with.
I thought Kary scored on the deflection.
We had a 3 minute bend over (seriously. 3 minutes. The whole rink.) in the first and then a big long one before the 5x3.
And somebody inexplicably started the infamous "soccer chant" written on this forum last year. I can't tell you how it warmed my heart.

What is this soccer chant you speak of?

The crowd for Dartmouth was livelier than for the Harvard game for some reason... maybe we have our Lynah confidence back. I too was happy to get the soccer goal cheer going again. The second time we did it (for our 3rd goal), it sounded like a good portion of A and a few in B caught on. We'll have to keep doing it!
