Title: Cornell Bball kicks off the season with a win
Post by: ugarte on November 15, 2008, 11:56:09 AM
Cornell wins 79-69 over South Dakota (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=283190172&confId=12).

In other news, I want a goddamn rematch with Stanford (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=283190043&confId=12).

FYI, they left following their sophomore seasons.

Clearly they finished the requirements for their basketball degrees early.  Duh. :-)

Yes, they did (http://www.nba.com/draft2008/board.html).
Title: Preseason NIT (or whatever they call it now)

Cornell plays St. Johns at BC tonight at 9:30 in an intriguing matchup. A win likely means a meeting with BC tomorrow night on ESPN2.

Live audio on Bloomberg Radio, 1130 AM, in NYC. I'm not sure if it will be sent worldwide, but if it is, you can listen online here (http://www.bloomberg.com/tvradio/radio/).

It is ludacrous that this game is not televised in Manhattan.

I get MSG, MSG2, MSG+, SNY, YES, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic, ESPN Deportes, CBS College Sports, Fox Sports Atlantic, FS Central, FS Pacfic, and NBA TV. But this game between 2 D-I teams from NY is radio only.

Stupid preseason tourneys and their ridgid TV deals. Of course the St. John's vs. LIU game was on the other day. Grrrr

And the coach left too.  So basically a shell of last year's team, picked to finish 9th in the Pac-10.
