Princeton drops from 9 to 12
Clarkson drops one spot to 16
SLUt, previously unranked, slides in to 19
Colgate, Harvard, Yale, Union, and Dartmouth all receive votes. With 9 ECAC teams receiving votes in a top-20 national poll, it seems no one has really figured out what's going on within the conference.
Future opponent NoDak slips from 12 to 18 and is now 3-5-0. Ouch.
St. Cloud is receiving votes.
Umass-Amherst sits 20th with a record of 4-2-1 on the season.
Niagara beat RIT on Friday but is 3-5-1.
To no one's surprise, Scrivens was named ECAC Goalie of the Week, and was nominated for Player of the Week as well.
Ben Scrivens named INCH's player of the week:

Didn't NoDak just crack the poll again after being previously unranked, since they split the weekend with CC?

Yep, you're right. I must have been skimming the table and mistook Notre Dame for North Dakota. ::doh::

I think there's definitely some truth to that, but I also think that overall the ECAC is far stronger this season than many people expected. Already some big wins and ties against non-conference opponents, and SLU went to Michigan and played them darn well. I'm looking forward to the way this season looks, although I really am NOT looking forward to this year's Clarkson/Cornell games. I have a feeling it will be too reminiscent of the old trap games that got played 5-6 years ago and those were so ridiculously frustrating to watch.

Speak for yourself...I loved those games. Some of the best games I've seen were classic Cornell clutch and grab hockey.

i agree those games were great ... and just for the record (and the umpteenth time) we don't trap.
