Title: Potential Audio Issues Cornell @ Colgate
Post by: Rita on November 08, 2008, 06:18:13 PM
I thought I would try and catch the pre-game show on RedCast, however, when I try to go to the Cornell website (http://cornellbigred.com/) I get a "server is too busy" message.

Among the problems we have encountered, this seems to be a new one. Any guess on whether this will get fixed in the next 10-40 minutes? ::help::

In the meantime, I'll check out Q's site.

Fingers crossed, but free audio from Q here. (http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x981.xml)

Q also has a video feed, subscription for the month is 8 bucks.  I'll let you know -- reports from yesterday's Colgate game were that the feed was very good.

Mine's working fine.  Try clicking twice on the pause/play icon.

Okay, this week's issue... no active link to the audio.

I connected to Cornell athletics server in only 2 tries this time :). I logged into RedCast, and they have the Cornell - Colgate game listed, but no link.

Anyone, or is my lack of technical skills hindering me again.

(Edit) Apparently it is my reading skills that are lacking tonight. Not only is this game 2 months early, but also starting 30 minutes later. ::doh::

No, Rita, there is no active link.  Typical service from RedCast, I regret to say.  If you email ICS they'll blame Cornell and if you write to Cornell they'll accuse you of being negative, and refuse to admit they don't know what they're doing.  C'est la vie.

Might be because the game doesn't start until 7:37ish?  They probably won't have the link active until half hour before game-time.

There is now a link.  It connects to the void.

yep, and unlike the last exhibition game, the audio sounds pretty decent.  A tiny bit of static, but adequate for streaming a sporting event.

Am I the only recent alumn who JUST remembered how much they loved Upstate New York commercials?
