No backsies.
Is our pepband at the game?
That was a decent "RED".

Unlikely with football season ongoing. Haven't heard them so far on the radio I don't think.
The Greening-R. Nash-Jillson line is still together.
I can't get Princeton audio. Page cannot be found. Anyone else have the same prob?

Listening to Cornell audio here so I can't help you out on that issue.
I can't the LiveStats link from Princeton' schedule page to load. Anybody have the direct URL?
Nicholls off for holding.
A lot of noise when we cleared the puck there...sounds like a decent Cornell fan showing.

Someday WHCU will broadcast online but until then we have to slum it. I'm stuck in Cortland and can't get WHCU on my office radio...
Sean Collins seeing some quality time on the PK.

Good first kill for Cornell.
Penalty killed.

Yep, same link. I wonder...perhaps it's blocked by my employer. Bummer!
Cornell pp coming up.
Cornell to the PP. Tripping.
Cornell PP looks very good.
Sounds like Sean Collins is getting time on the pp.
Princeton kills the penalty.
Collins seems to be contributing well in both ends.
Another PP upcoming for Cornell.
Interference.
Princeton back to full strength.
Don't need to be taking penalties in the last minute of a period. Seminoff headed to the box.
Shots 8-3 Princeton
Faceoffs 13-6 Princeton
Glad it's still scoreless.
Per LiveStats:
Shots, Princeton 8-3
Faceoffs, Princeton 13-6
It seemed more even than that.
Edit: jinx
All penalties in the first were obstruction calls: holding (2), tripping, interference.

Yeah...I sure don't remember 19 faceoffs.
Cornell PP looks very good.
I'll second that, I like the chances they set up on both PPs even though they weren't able to finish. Lots of movement, as opposed to the pass-pass-pass-one timer from the point of the past couple of years.
Penalty killed.
Yikes...I thought Scrivens had gotten over that wandering tendency by now.
The clock was never started for that last 2 minute-or-so sequence.
Now we seem to be getting it going.
Berk finally learns to defend the 2-on-1.
Cornell powerplay coming up.
...and they still suck.
Good movement from the 2nd Unit...a couple of shots
Delayed penalty on Cornell.
Looks like Princeton's livestats is about as reliable as Cornell's.::idea::
And we give up a 5x3 with a few seconds remaining in the period.
Barlow playing great,blocking shots,forechecking,backchecking.
SOG are 23-13 Princeton.
Jason reports shot count is 23-13 pu.
Whew...we get one defender back.
Both penalties killed. Nicely done.
The aggressiveness early on the 5 on 3 was a bit scary. Great job getting it all killed off though.
Mugford!!
Mugford!!!
The tough guy pots a goal.
I had no idea Mugford could shoot like that...
very nice shot.
Nice to see Muggy get Cornell's first. Hard work pays off.
1328 remaining
Jason scares the hell out of me when he gets all excited but doesn't exactly explain what's happening right away.

I assume this was during Scrivens's unconventional sprawling save?
8:34 to go
Barlow down on the ice but ends up with a penalty.

Scrivens doesn't do much that's conventional ;)
Barlow down on the ice but ends up with a penalty.
Getting shoved into the goalie as you are trying to stop is now goaltender interference.
Big kill there.
Big kill there.
You bet.
Faceoffs now almost even.
Kalemba goes to the bench...empty net for Princeton.
Jillson goes offsides just as he's about to pot the ENG.
Neutral zone faceoff coming up, 0:54 remaining.
Big defensive zone faceoff now with 21 seconds to go
Impressive performance from Scrivens tonight. Good way to start the season. Let's go red!!!
That's a wrap. A huge 43-save shutout from Scrivens to start the season. Any of you stats-heads want to figure out the last time we opened the season with a shutout?
Classic Schafer-style road game. Close to the vest. Take no chances. Hope for a couple of goals to sneak away with a win. Drives me nuts to watch/listen but it worked today.
Great way to open the season. Scrivens outdid Kalemba today.
I like what I saw in that game. The defense really locked it down late, and Scrivens cleaned up whatever got through. As far as the first "real" game of the season goes, I'm ecstatic with the outcome.
Players of game-1.Scrivens 2.Mugford 3.Barlow 4.Seminoff
The last time Cornell opened with a shut out was 11/9/1990 with a 5-0 win over Army.
Great start. Let's Go Red!
