Title: Princeton and Quinnipiac Roll Call
Post by: ebilmes on November 06, 2008, 10:47:32 PM
It seems like the exhibition games were ages ago, but here we are, on the verge of a new season. We open the season tomorrow against a perhaps overrated Princeton team sitting 9th in the national poll. On Saturday, the team drives northeast to Quinnipiac, whom we swept last year after an embarrassing playoff sweep at Lynah the year before.

I'm not feeling too confident about either game, but will be at both with some friends. Who else is making the drive(s)?

We're 3 Friday and 2 Saturday at Princeton and at Quinnipiac. We'll end the Princeton game with dinner someplace downtown in Princeton, and start the Quinnipiac game (as per tradition for Q and also at-Yale) at Pepe's at 5pm, an awesome pizza place just off the Yale campus.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana (http://www.pepespizzeria.com/)
157 Wooster St
New Haven, CT 06511
(203) 865-5762

From Pepe's it's about 20 minutes to the Quinnipiac rink. Therer is food around Q-town but nothing like New Haven has unless your favorite bumper sticker reads America Runs on Dunkin.
NJ Transit lets out right near the rink...correct?
Yes.  You take the Northeast Corridor line to Princeton Junction (assuming you're leaving from Penn Station, you probably want the 2:01 train) and then transfer to a shuttle train to Princeton.  The rink is only about 100 yards from where you get off, and it'll be on the right side of the train.  There's a line of trees in between so you might not be able to see it but it's there.  Realistically, if you're confused you'll probably have at least a few other Cornell fans to follow once you get off the train at Princeton Junction.

Thanks--just what I was looking for.
