I guess this makes it unlikely that Sam will leave school soon to live off of his parents' 50/50 winnings.

I'm trying to decide whether $100 for breast cancer research per PPG puts more pressure on him or gives him added incentive to stand in front of the net and get wailed on by opposing D-men.

I really hope Sammy gets this.  Not many players around the league have the heart that Sammy does.  Not only has Sammy helped our team tremendously on the ice, he is an outstanding role model for the younger members of the team.  Even if he doesn't win it, I'm sure his family will be winning some more of those 50/50 raffles!  The Cornell ladies must love Sammy for his heart and the Italian in him.

Best,
Ogie
