Regarding the discussion of whether Cornell way overcharges for season hockey tickets or correctly calculates the supply/demand curve: At UConn, the season ticket package for men's home basketball games is $40 for students. That's for 8 games. There's another ~8 home games in Hartford at the Civic Center (now XL Center) for about the same price. It sounds as if, according to a student tour guide giving the pitch for prospective students, the games (at least season tickets) don't sell out, so maybe UConn is pricing to its supply/demand.
I wouldn't be surprised if UConn is absolutely SOAKING the townies, though. I've been to St. John's - UConn games and Big East tournament games at MSG and UConn is a team that travels (at least to NYC) very well.
I heard there was a 33% increase for season tickets to Cornell basketball this season.

That wouldn't be surprising given last season's success. For reference, anyone know how many season tickets basketball had been selling?
I have no information on the numbers, but I expect just about every second semester Ivy game to sell out this year. The students will miss just about every game in the first semester.
