Quote from: INCH ECAC previewBURNING QUESTIONS
2. How far ahead of the rest of the league are Princeton and Cornell, who enter the season with proven, veteran starting goaltending in their lineups?

1.Princeton
2.Clarkson
3.Cornell
I guess the INCH answer to Question 2 is
Cornell? Not that far ahead,After that question I assumed that Princeton-Cornell would be 1-2 and when I skimmed the team column in favor of reading the capsules I found myself thinking "Who the #^&% is Shea Guthrie?"
"Who the #^&% is Shea Guthrie?"
he is possibly the best, or at least one of the best skaters in the ECAC. he also has a knack for scoring rather clutch goals.
all that being said he tends to try and do to much by himself and after making 5 great moves to beat defenders, finds himself in the corner or behind the goal line with no shot...

Sounds like his career would've been better suited by leaving and going to play for the London Knights for one season only to score 22 points and be a -8.

Five things you can take to the bank in ECAC Hockey this season
...
• Evan Stephens of Dartmouth will make a strong bid to be the first ECAC Hockey defenseman since RPI's Jake Luthi two years ago (tied with Kirk MacDonald).
Umm... the first ECAC Hockey defenseman to do what?

I stumbled over that too, but Luthi, indeed, tied for the RPI scoring lead two years ago.
The last comment is a bit of an exaggeration but the point is valid. I think Shea's game matured and improved late last season and am confident will see a more team-oriented approach this year.

All of that may be true - I'm not at all familiar with Clarkson's roster - but what I meant was "I don't remember a guy named Guthrie on our team."

That was my reaction exactly when I first read that sentence.
Isn't leading RPI in scoring kinda like being the healthiest patient in the Intensive Care Unit?:-}
