Yes I know we haven't even played a game in the 2008-2009 season yet, but I need to plan ahead. So here's part of our schedule and the whole ECAC schedule as an attachment. No travel partners included.
Thanks to Steve Hagwell for the early update on the ECAC schedule. Thanks to you other eLynah faithful for the other updates.
Finally, thanks to the U for the final copy. All games 7 PM unless otherwise noted.

Took me forever to find this, so I thought I'd bump it to the front page.
Would NoDak come to Lynah for a series Jan 8-9, or not until the following season?
Would NoDak come to Lynah for a series Jan 8-9, or not until the following season?
I'm pretty sure they are coming next season, looks like they could come Jan 8-9 or Jan 22-23

It would suck if that series was 8-9 instead of 22-23.

I recall Brandon Thomas writing last fall that North Dakota will visit on January 22 and 23.
North Dakota is coming to Lynah Jan. 22-23 (http://elf.elynah.com/read.php?1,130953,135041#msg-135041).

Anybody know when tickets for the BU thanksgiving game will go on sale?

Thank you. Classes begin on the 25th -- students should be back and well-rested.
So is Colgate the Jan. 8th-9th then? Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any other open weekends.

It seems pretty likely, but I think they usually wait until pretty late in the process to confirm those.
Anybody know when tickets for the BU thanksgiving game will go on sale?
In 2007 if was April 2. (2007 thread (http://elf.elynah.com/read.php?1,113962,113962,sv=1#msg-113962)). As of today, the MSG site (http://www.thegarden.com/tickets/) shows almost nothing beyond April.
Colgate has not always been a weekend series.
Guessing the Estero dates:
12/26 v. Maine or Colorado College
12/27 v. Princeton, Maine or Colorado College
And then 2 more games against Niagara, RIT, Sacred Heart, Robert Morris, etc.

I assume our first Estero game will be against CC, as they've had the two host schools play in separate first round games in recent years.
Additions to the schedule --

I guess that was done to accommodate the North Dakota games and have them on a weekend that late enough in the season and when the students would be around.
It is easier to schedule games v. an opponent only 2 hrs away than non-conference teams that aren't RIT or Niagara. On the bright side, that does get us another game before facing BU in MSG. Given that BU will have almost a month of practices and games on us, not necessarily a bad thing.

There are also both after home weekends for Colgate and us, so that's easier.
Add one more game to the schedule, apparently. Jan 3 at UNH:

2xUND, BU, UNH, and potentially one or both of CC and Maine. That is a pretty intense OOC schedule next year.

It's about freakin' time. Instead of loading up on scrub teams, Cornell is finally honing its skills on the best teams in the country. Thus spoke Kyle.
The series against UNH has been in the works for a couple of years. I think/speculate that the Lynah renovations have freed Mike Schafer up to schedule fewer interconference home games.
That said, I figure Cornell will play at home on January 8 or 9. Are Niagara or RIT available that weekend?

Back in '06-'07. Mike was quoted in an interview about arranging future home and home series with North Dakota and UNH, so I suspect UNH will be at Lynah in the '10-11 season.
Thanks, updated.
Colorado College posted its schedule (http://www.cctigers.com/schedule.aspx?path=MHOCK&). Cornell and Colorado College play the second first-round game of the Florida College Classic at 7:30 on Tuesday, December 29. The consolation and championship games against Maine or Princeton will be held the following day.

Thanks for compiling the information.
The Maine hockey website has the Estero tournament scheduled for December 27 and 28.

Gee, with all the games that Niagara has scheduled v. BSU, it doesn't look like the the Beavers will be moving to the WCHA for the 2009-2010 season.
On a tangent, at least the lady gophers (http://www.gophersports.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=8400&SPID=3323&SPSID=38867) will go east of the Mississippi and travel all the way to Boston, and in December no less (i.e. rather than in April!).
Athletics has released the schedule (http://www.cornellbigred.com/schedule.aspx?path=mhockey&schedule=493).
Nice exhibition weekend in October:
>> 10/23 Univ. of Windsor (exhibition) 7 p.m.
>> 10/24 U.S. under-18 team (exhibition) TBA

Assuming Andy Iles plays for the U18ers, will the student section taunt the opposing goalie in its usually fashion or will it modify its chants for a future Cornellian?

I doubt that very many people in attendance will realize that the kid is planning to come to Cornell. So I'd imagine it'll be business as usual. Nothing wrong with that - I doubt the kid would get too upset about being treated to the Lynah experience. It's a good opportunity for some creativity though, playing off his future status.
I went ahead and put this all in Google Calendar again. It seems that Google may have changed how you can add calendars so I've included the links below.

I'll try and update them based on schedule changes and try and include the TV coverage when applicable. Like before, let me know if you find any mistakes.

Thanks for doing this. Yes, Google made it so you can't "search" anymore. But of the two calendars I used in past years, one of them is populated with the 09/10 schedule (as is the CU football schedule that I used last season). Checking the embedded url, it seems that it is indeed yours. So thanks again!
Only note I have...your "HTML" link looks like it has a location tag as "Los_Angeles" so the time might display PST (Edit: and that is the case). The link I'm using has "New_York" as that field, so more people may be able to use the following link.
HTML version (Eastern Time Zone):
http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=12efjai66upkl7vapnr3l4a4k4%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York
BTW, I just noticed that Google Calendars has a "sports calendars" feature added for many different sports. While there are tons of rugby and many levels of the major sports schedules (sorry, JTW, no cricket yet), there are only three leagues listed under Hockey: NHL, AHL, and ECHL. No college. ::cuss::
However the Cornell football and M&W basketball schedules are able to be added. I don't care for the format, but they're there.

Thanks! This might encourage me to use iCal more and wean me off my paper day planner. However, considering I have faithfully used a day planner for over 20 years, I'm not that optimistic (retreating back into my 1990's cave....)

Thanks, I'll update the TV thread as I get info.
You know, there's an ELynah version that gets updated with scores, scorers, record, etc. Just saying...

You know you can also synchronize Google calendar with Thunderbird Lightning, Mozilla Sunbird, and a Blackberry.

Is it only the standard Google-created sports calendars that come with the little icons next to the entries denoting which sport each entry is for? Or is it possible for nr53 to edit the calendar and mark it in such a way that it is shown with a hockey puck icon? Thanks.

I looked around for an option but add an icon but I didn't see any. If anyone comes across that option let me know, I'd be happy to add that to the schedule.
