Title: Mention of CU Fans by Harvard Player
Post by: Jim Hyla on July 31, 2008, 11:52:56 PM
As I was scanning ECAC articles I came across this quote from Harvard player Doug Rogers
QuoteSo what is it like playing hockey for the Ivy League? Well, for one thing, it is extremely competitive.

"In the Ivy League, pretty much every team is a big rival because we all compete for the Ivy League Title," said Rogers. "Cornell is one of our more exciting games. We always have a hard fought game against them. ... There are a lot of one goal games in the league we play in. Every once in a while you get a blowout, but it's a pretty competitive league. ... Cornell's arena is definitely the loudest building we play in. It's small and they pack it in, so it gets really loud in there."

This interview is surely the beginning of his campaign for senior honors.

>>> [Lynah] is small and they pack it in.

So if Lynah is small, does that make Bright Center a black hole?

As for the other quotes, this guy has reached the professional level in terms of tossing around cliches that say nothing. Like, what league doesn't have a lot of one-goal games and the occasional blowout?

So if Lynah is small, does that make Bright Center a black hole? [/quote]Bright has a smaller seating capacity than Lynah but the roof it a lot higher so it doesn't feel as small.  I see what the guy is saying.
