Washington Caps have a feature on their between period radio casts called "Inside the Ice with Jason Elliott" (not Ted Williams). I suppose it could be a different one.
Interesting thing is that Darren Eliot is also a hockey journalist.
Greg, I'd just like to take the 1st intermission to say...HA HA! :-P
(Yes, I do cheer for the Caps cuz I live here)
Isn't Jason playing in Finland this season? It has to be a different JE.
Damn, I was going to one-up that Ha Ha, but as it turned out...

That OT was a complete load of crap.
There were hooking, holdings, obstructions, etc. galore the entire OT (by both the Caps and Isles). Refs swallow their whistles....and then call an inconsequential holding the stick penalty?
Gimme a break...always as laughable as the NFL fiascos of the last couple weeks...and years, I guess...
As it turned out, not "inconsequential." :-/
But frankly I am always happy to get a point on the road, and at DC we should be grateful. Now 1-22-3 in our last 26 there. ::yark::

Obviously, it was of consequence due to what happened after the call was made.
It was not of consequence as it pertains to the play at hand while the call was made.
And yes, I'll take the point. I, too, before the game, was lamenting how DC is probably the only place with these improved Isles where I still automatically assume we'll go in an lose. Although I don't like giving a fellow playoff chaser the extra point.
Anyway...that's enough of that. LET'S GO RED!
I'll be at the MCI Center tomorrow night as my Rangers come to town. It should be an interesting game, with Jagr and Nedved each hot and both teams playing pretty decent hockey. The 2-2 tie at the Garden was a fun game to watch.
Jagr is truly unbelievable right now. His highlights last night were a thing of beauty, even though also of course a thing of pure evil. ::help::
AND, Jagr always lights up the Rangers. I'm afraid they're in for a long night. ::help::
