Brown coach Craig Robinson (michelle obama's brother) left the school to coach at Oregon State today: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3335061&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
It's (I believe) the first Ivy-related move of the offseason. Let's hope nobody piques Coach D's interest enough for him to jump ship.
Wow. Brown loses two coaches in a very short span. Didn't Glen Miller leave for Penn last year?
Perhaps this means next year OSU will find that elusive conference win.
Sounds like from this article that Steve intends to stay put.

I guess we will see...
Did I read this right from the blog?
>>> Jeomi Maduka just joined Louis Dale on the AP Women's Basketball All-American list. I'll verify, but I'm 96.8 percent sure that every Division I conference player of the year gets a spot on the AP list.
Louis Dale was on the AP Women's Basketball All-American list. That's quite an accomplishment - undergoing a sex change over the course of the season and all.
That is a direct quote from Brian Delaney. But I am sure you know what he meant.

Brown has announced Robinson's replacement. They have bumped Assistant Coach Jesse Agel to the number one position. http://today.brown.edu/articles/2008/06/new-basketball-coach
Quote from: AgelAddressing the media, Agel credited his former boss with bringing Brown basketball to a new level. "Craig Robinson put his stamp on this university," he said. "He got our team mentally and physically in a position so that every time we walked onto the court, we felt we could win." Noting that he has now achieved several life goals, including a "great family" and a trip to the NCAAs with Vermont, Agel said he would concentrate on putting the icing on the cake – a league championship for the Bears. "Cornell won the championship this past year," Agel said. "We're coming after them."
[edit] Taking Brown seriously in basketball is like taking Cornell seriously in basketball. So eventually an Ivy title for Bruno could happen.
