Something tells me that there are some people someplace in Rochester and Miami who are pretty proud of themselves.

Oh, like we all wouldn't be trying to do the same thing if one of OUR guys were listed! ::rolleyes::

I suggest you search this forum for "stuff for hobey" and read the differing opinions on this very topic, since several of our guys were listed in multiple years this decade.
I think the whole fan voting for Hobey is silly. But if there's a voting site that in 2008 still doesn't have simple protections to prevent automated voting (like the "type the hidden word" thing that they've implemented now) then they're just asking to be disrupted by a bot.

Fan voting is also to determine who gets one vote of the several dozen votes that determine the Hobey winner, isn't it? Certainly it's enough to change the result in really close calls, but it's not like these kids are handing the Hobey to someone who wouldn't otherwise deserve it.

Yeah, I know. Which is why it's just silly, not flat out stupid.

Note that even following the rules of the Stuff for Hobey contest was a bit stuffy, since (at least in one incarnation) they allowed you to vote every day. Vote early and often!
Forget the ballot stuffing. This guy writes like a five year-old. Honestly, who edits that page? 2 Minutes for Gassing it.

Good Lord. I'm in actual physical pain.
