Not Dan's fault. The defense didn't get back in time.

Hey, it made the kid's day. And his parents' (thus the video for the grandparents). My boy wore his HS hockey jacket to church Sunday. (Things are looser now.) The young grade schooler behind was in awe and kept whispering to his brother about the high school goalie sitting in front. Scott could feel the kid actually tracing out the school letters on the back. It's not quite as good as a D1 scholarship, but it still feels nice to have someone looking up to you.

I've seen goaltending like that before (http://boston.stats.com/nhl/boxscore.asp?gamecode=2008030323&home=23&vis=1).  Ouch.  I just made myself cry a bit on the inside.

Anyway, that looks like a lot of fun for the kid.  I hope DiLeo had fun, too!  As my friends will attest, I've never been crazy about kids, but even my heart warms up when I see them in hockey gear. :)

Didn't you read Bill Howard's post?  It wasn't a penalty shot - the defense just didn't get back in time.

Ah, in that case, I think we are all Cornell fans everywhere are in unanimous agreement that Shaerfeaa3r must be fired.

Not to continue with the insanity here, but...
Puck Must Be Kept In Motion

SECTION 41.

a.  The puck must be kept in motion at all times.

b. Except to carry the puck behind its goal once, a team in possession of
the puck in its own defending zone must advance the puck toward the
opposing goal, unless it is prevented from so doing by players of the
opposing team.
