anybody else on b2 and just getting a "you're event will begin shortly" message?
B2 was up for a moment, then died. Also, the Visitor link fed to the Union audio.
Very good for Cornell to jump out early. The Faithful sound great. Get another one and take the home crowd out of it.
anybody else on b2 and just getting a "you're event will begin shortly" message?
Hmm..was just about to go buy it. Will hold off until I know it works.
Whoa, that was quick.
Princeton 1 Yale 0
B2 still down. Saw opening and that was it .
Harvard 1 Q 0
union audio isn't too bad.
Kennedy holding penalty, in offensive zone.
B2 up but with Union audio.
My B2's up now and working well. I re-entered the game using the email they send you and it's been good since then.
Looks like 2-0 Princeton
B2 back up!
Wow, lots of fast scores in ECAC games.
ditto. though with a shitty camera camera, and shitty image quality.
The Union announcer makes the mistake of thinking Taylor Davenport and Troy Davenport are brothers, but who can blame him. LGR
Onion back on the power play.
Another CU penalty- 2 for Krueger
Harvard 2 Q 0
We clear it, power play over.
Devins: Twins
Kennedies: Brothers but not twins
Nashes: Brothers but not twins
Davenports: Not related
It's not THAT hard to remember. ::smashfreak::
1-1
booo
PP cornell coming up
Union clears it, 20 sec left in PP.
CU penalty for tripping.
end 1st
We haven't had a shot on goal since the first five minutes or so.
I went to check out the early score in the Harvard - Dartmouth women's bball game, and they list "no games scheduled" for the Ivies. I know that the Ivy League doesn't count towards determining "Ivy League Champion," but is the NCAA also not counting the game? Methinks the Worldwide Leader messed this one up.
Harvard site has live stats and a live blog.
http://www.gocrimson.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=41128&SPID=3682&DB_OEM_ID=9000&ATCLID=1411272
stats say D 42-30 with a few seconds to go in the first.
free video too. imagine that.
wohoo
planned play?
FONTAS!!
Goal!
Maybe we do want the Fontas line on the ice as much as possible.:-P
I love it when the "grinders and roll players" (apologies to Al) come up big on the score sheet!
According to Jason, Fontas got the Cornell 2nd goal.
LGR!
Quote from Livestats: "We were unable to get the game information. Retrying..."
Fortunately, I have the game information.
Sucks now up 4-0
PrestoSports has finally given Fontas his second goal.
Sucks now up 4-0
Make that 6-0...bye-bye Fisher
Anybody have a gametracker link?
Damn! 25 seconds to go in the period and Union's audio feed suddenly gave me a Peace Corps and a Red Cross commercial. Weird. Game audio back now.
Anyone else getting Union audio through only one channel? I started using Realplayer and also tried Quicktime, but it's only coming out of the right side. Both speakers are working as I tried playing some music on the computer.
The latency of Union kinda sucks.

Sucks now up 4-0
Doesn't Quinnipiac remember that the fall-behind-by-5-or-more-goals strategy doesn't actually work very well?

Sucks now up 4-0
Make that 6-0...bye-bye Fisher
Every @#&%ing year.
Harvard leads 7-0. Yikes.
Now 7-0 Harvard, and the 2nd period finally ends. Seems Quinnipiac forgot to score their own 7 before letting the other team score just as many (a la the Brown game in the 1st round)
They're just setting up the greatest comeback in hockey history.

I thought Princeton was up 2-0?
under 4 to play 58-49 D. H is on a 9-0 run.
I'm seeing 3-0 Princeton, start of the 3rd
Walters getting a 5:00. Do we know who he hit?
Results from Jeomi's jump still not posted:

Let's take advantage of this, Red.

Walters getting a 5:00. Do we know who he hit?
fontas
Hope he's OK. Now let's make them pay. LGR!!!
Walters was the Union player who hit Carefoot dangerously last year on his SH goal
D by 4 now and at the line with a minute to go. H has roared back.
Bullocks.
Anybody else catch the Union announcer calling the 5-minute major a tragedy? When Fontas was the one limping off the ice? He also called Walters a clean player and then went over his game dq last year and other hits where he has hurt the other player...including Fontas.
Anyone see this - was it a cheap shot?
Anyone see this - was it a cheap shot?
Considering it resulted in a five minute major? Yes.
sloppy passes out of the zone. LGR!
Dartmouth holds on and wins by 7 and in typical basketball fashion the last minute took ten.
Harvard has added a field goal in the 3rd to go up 10-0
Q had a few terrible efforts to close out the regular season.
Shucks.
It's been hard holding leads this season. No different here.
"Ivy League... Bush League"
heh heh... the "bush league...ivy league" cheer goes up... or is it busch...
Power Play. Let's Go Red!
4 on 3 for cornell.. somehow this scares me. too much open ice.
PP really letting them down tonight..
11-0 Harvard.
Schafer takes the TO to set up the 4x3.
4 on 3 for cornell.. somehow this scares me. too much open ice.
More places for Topher not to get hit. Not quite as scary as 200 x 100 surface.
6:23 left in regulation.
LGR!
B. Nash!
Power play goal for Cornell. 4x3. B Nash [edit add] Now 1x6? on PP.
finally..
yesss!!!!!
Goal! Greening from B. Nash - what a stupid penalty laying on top of Topher.
Credited to Nash, I think it'll be changed later...but either way LGR!!!
Both teams back at full strength.
5:09 left...
good puck movement leads to a goal. hold on boys!!
Goal! Greening from B. Nash - what a stupid penalty laying on top of Topher.
Some admirers would give to a charity for the opportunity. Or vice versa.
Smarten up, Davenport.
davenport sent off for interference... hold on tight.
Davenport goes off. Don't refs swallow the whistle the last 4 mins?
Time left?
kill red kill
stupid as it gets.
2 minutes.
Maybe there are only 12 Cornell fans and they're all within 5 feets of the radio booth. Or maybe Cornell travels well, fans and team both, and that's why we hear no Union partisans.
1:22 to go, Mrazek cheating towards the bench
Mugford back to back goal saving blocks.
1:15, time stopped, faceoff upcoming
They put the pepband to the right of the press box in Messa (which is one of the large vocal sections). But also, Messa is a small barn to play in and there is one small section of student fans that try to yell "U" over our let's go red cheers. They also do the same "ahhhh, see ya asshole" for penalties. They're there, just not many of them.
ouch for Q
lost 11-0?
Phew.
Cornell takes game 1!!!
Yes!!!!
3-2 final!
WOW! Good game!
WTG Red!!
Very hard hitting game.
YAY RED! lets win tomorrow!
Good win tonight. Both teams fought very hard. Mrazek played really well for Union. I've ripped on the fourth line quite a bit for being incapable offensively but they really got it done tonight - grind it out playoff games favor the grind it out players.
Great atmosphere tonight. Gonna be a very tough one tomorrow. Will have to match Union's desperation.

Because fourth lines are usually offensive powerhouses? ::screwy::
(Pardon me, but it seems to be Rip on Ari Week. I figured I would join in the fun)

Cornell fourth lines have been very capable offensively over the last several years which made Cornell a very tough team to play against from a defensive standpoint. This year has been much different in that they have two good offensive lines and two that generate nearly nothing offensively. Schafer plays his fourth line a lot more than most and in past years this hasn't been an issue because there were four pretty balanced lines that could all scores. This year I have been pretty vocal that Schafer needs to shorten his bench when the team is trailing because the third and fourth lines produce so little offensively.

It's more fun for me than anyone else. Seriously.
