Title: Elsewhere in the ECAC
Post by: ugarte on March 09, 2008, 03:33:16 AM
I can't believe that nobody has posted this (though I can see where our concerns are at home...)

Friday:

QU 7, Brown 6 (OT)
Yale 3, RPI 2 (3OT)
SLU 5, Colgate 2

Saturday:

Yale 3, RPI 2 (OT) Yale advances. Rough weekend for the Engineers.
Colgate 3, SLU 2 Series tied 1-1
QU 7, Brown 1 Brown QU advances. Brown had one game of offense; Quinny had two.

2 Sunday games in Central NY.

Don't you mean Quinny advances?

are the sunday games at 7 tonight?
I thought the puck usually dropped in the afternoon. guess that tells you how long it has been since I was at a sunday playoff game :)

LGR!

Yes.  According to USCHO, both games are at 7 pm.

Yes, the games tonight are at 7PM  (I wish they were at 4PM.  But, I don't get a vote).

Nope. Strange rule - win by 6 on Saturday and you forfeit the round.

Which leads to some weird empty net situations.

Quarterfinals

If Cornell advances:

SLU/Colgate at Clarkson
Yale at Princeton
Quinnipiac at Harvard
Cornell at Union

If Dartmouth advances:

Dartmouth at Clarkson
SLU/Colgate at Princeton
Yale at Harvard
Quinnipiac at Union

1-0 'gate end of 1.
I'd rather have SLU playing Clarkson.

Agree. SLU will not be intimidated by Cheel.

Unfortunately, Colgate will probably not be intimidated by Cheel either.  They haven't lost there in at least 5 years.

Didn't notice that but SLU has given Clarkson a very tough time this year. I'd feel better with SLU playing them.
