As I understand it, the first round games in the next two years are:
2003:
Cornell vs. Ohio State
Maine vs. Notre Dame
2004:
Cornell vs. Boston College
Maine vs. Ohio State
If I'm wrong, let me know, but that's what I seemed to pick up from tonight's Maine broadcast.
I think we should play in the North Dakota cupcake event, instead.
Damn. . .the 2004 field with four top notch teams, Florida will definitely be the toughest tourny in the country.
Great tournament for us to be in each year. I hope it keeps among money for Mr. Brush & co. (and that we win it eventually :-)) )
I agree with Greg. Over the last two seasons, the Everblades College Classic has had the deepest field of all the NCAA holiday tournaments, and the next two tournaments have the potential to be as impressive. Playing a challenging interconference schedule benefits the hockey program.
Although playing a nonconference schedule full of patsies while being a member of a strong conference seems to carry more weight with the pollsters than playing a tough nonconference schedule and being a member of a weak conference. ::rolleyes::
