Anyone else's Redcast stuttering horribly (both audio and video)?
Anyone else's Redcast stuttering horribly (both audio and video)?
Yup, planning on reporting and seeing if they can get more bandwidth in there.
I have been "buffering" for the last ten minutes.

I already sent two messages. Glad to know they still haven't worked out these issues now that we're near the end of the season.
I'm getting nothing now, not even a connection. And why is there no link for audio at the basketball game?
Mugford had a strong drive to the net, thats about the most video i've gotten so far.
Same problems here -- it's as if it was exceeding capacity (but that can't be right). Nice to see my PC isn't sick.
Are you at least connected? I can't even get that. I was getting the buffering bullshit at first, decided to try to reconnect, and now I can't even do that. No response from anyone in tech support, of course.
From what I could see through the choppiness, it looked like a Cornell player kind of had a knee on knee hit to a Union player here and the Union player got a penalty for retaliation. Barlow hurting.
Cornell PP coming up...Coyle took a cheap shot (according to Jason) on Barlow, but he's alright. Although it's hard to tell what's actually going on thanks to the Redcast "slideshow.
Notice there are now ads on the left panel if you aren't full screen, and the box for the video is elongated. Maybe they've been breaking it.

I can connect, but always get stuck in the process of buffering.
Make that a double-minor on Coyle.
Full 2 minutes of 5x3.
"There seems to be some problem with the server at Cornell's end. We are working on it.
Please bear with us."
awful
Things seem to have smoothed out now.
Union killed off the 5x3
Edit: Nevermind, still stuttering...great.
"There seems to be some problem with the server at Cornell's end. We are working on it.
Please bear with us."
No choice. Union audio is down.
Union pp coming up...someone for slashing. Broadcast was down when they announced who it was.
Slashing penalty was on Greening
This is some bullshit right here....
this is when I wish there was an audio only option--but who knows maybe that would suck right now as well
Teams are even now
Well, at least I can get Women's BBall.
Got no broadcast here anymore. Relying on livestats.
Whoever's in charge "on the Cornell end" is probably picking his/her nose playing Warcraft right now, ignoring the incoming messages from ICS.
Cornell PP, Coyle - holding the stick 6:40
Sounds like that would have been fun to watch. ::rolleyes::
Well, at least I can get Women's BBall.
yeah that's coming in without a hitch...
Union kills it off
4 mins to play in the first, still 0-0. (Livestats)
Brown helping, up 2-1 over Clarkson after 1.
I'm getting some bullshit from ICS about a snow storm. Guess it's snowing outside Lynah but not Newman. Assholes.
Brown helping, up 2-1 over Clarkson after 1.
Doesn't really help us anymore

Brown helping, up 2-1 over Clarkson after 1.
Doesn't really help us anymore
Only 5 pts (plus tie breaker) behind. There's still a chance.
I'm getting some bullshit from ICS about a snow storm. Guess it's snowing outside Lynah but not Newman. Assholes.
This is getting irritating. I could handle the fact that they took their sweet ass time to put up the archived games, when the streaming content was running smoothly.
video up... cornell scores! Gallagher! ppg
Goal...Gallagher on the pp!
goal by Gallagher?

Brown helping, up 2-1 over Clarkson after 1.
True. And it's a nice thought to distract me from the fact that we couldn't get a quality scoring chance in 2mins of 5x3 and this nonsense with the video.
Haha. Very clear "learn to count" chant.
U called for too many men with 3 seconds left.
1 18:56 Cor pp Gallagher 4 (Greening 13)
Here's the latest load of crap from ICS: "There is a poor server with men's hockey and we have been in the process of sorting this out. We understand that there is a very big game tonight. Unfortunately, we are working with Cornell to fix it and there just seems to be a poor reception. I apologize, but again this is not our fault, it is a problem with the Cornell server."
My redcast came back just after the Gallagher goal. Still choppy though. Anyone else?

Hmm...maybe they should have tried to sort it out BEFORE the game started? Hacks.
My redcast came back just after the Gallagher goal. Still choppy though. Anyone else?
Still un-watchably choppy for me during intermission.
If U keeps up their five penalties per period rate, we should (hopefully) be able to pad our PP stats some more ;)
Nice to have a smooth running feed during the intermission ::rolleyes:: Hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the game.
B-ball up 34-29 over an awful Harvard team at the half. Harvard's got a guy named Dinc.
Nice to have a smooth running feed during the intermission ::rolleyes:: Hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the game.
Indeed...and thank god for the replays. At least I get to see Gallagher's goal now. Pretty nice: he walked out in front from the half-boards, waited for Mrazek to drop, and then reached around him to score into the empty net.
Edit: Perhaps I woofed to the Redcast gods? Back to choppiness for me.
Audio is perfect now, but video still breaking up. At least I can hear what's going on.
Video and Audio good on this end
How did Union not score there?
Highlight reel save by Scrivens, penalty coming up on Cornell.
Scali, 2 min tripping, Union PP
Highlight reel save by Scrivens, penalty coming up on Cornell.
I'm with the color guy on this one, I don't think Scrivens saved it and it just hit the post. I guess they might show a replay at the intermission and we can figure it out.
Harvard's tied it at 36
Don't pop the corks yet. Harvard on a 14-4 run, leads 43-38 :-O
Wow, beautiful goal by Scott from Sawada.
Goal by Topher Scott
Assists: Sawada, Krantz
nice hockey sense there Ray
Don't pop the corks yet. Harvard on a 14-4 run, leads 43-38 :-O
Maybe it's the too--frequent poor performances (see last year's two losses) against weak teams like Harvard that dampen the enthusiasm of long-time Cornell fans toward basketball.
Any updates from mbball?
Union has a player that Jason keeps pronouncing kinda like "biotch"
One too many passes there Krantz.
We're absolutely schooling U at the moment.
Lets get back in the other zone again boys.
Krueger with some great shot-blocking tonight
Harvard by 7 with 13 to go.
Things went to hell right after Jason said Cornell was in "total control."
Krueger made a bad pass. Picked off by Coyle.
Goal by: Cook
Assist: Coyle
Is bball still 50-43 or is my livestats frozen?
Harvard's Gamewatcher is frozen at 50-43 Harvard. Cornell 1 for 7 from 3-point range at that point in the game.
Cross checking on Union, start Cornell PP at 1:00
Harvard's Gamewatcher is frozen at 50-43 Harvard. Cornell 1 for 7 from 3-point range at that point in the game.
Harvard's winning by 11 with about 8 minutes left in the game.
Great diving block by B. Nash to prevent the shortie chance at the end of the period...watch the knee!
Now 60-50 Harvard with 6:45 to go. Embarrassing.

Harvard's Gamewatcher is frozen at 50-43 Harvard. Cornell 1 for 7 from 3-point range at that point in the game.
Not insurmountable, but not looking good. I can't imagine what happened in the second half (besides the shooters going cold).
Now 60-50 Harvard with 6:45 to go. Embarrassing.
Do keep in mind that Harvard did beat up a Big 10 team (albeit a weak one) on their home court this year, and all five of their Ivy losses have been on the road.
That being said, it is terribly disappointing, especially since we had the halftime lead.
We've closed to 62-58, with 3:32 left
It would be nice if their gametracker thing ever updated.
71-66 harvard with 31 seconds left
Harvard by 5 with :31 to go. Kiss this one goodbye, I'm afraid.
Cornell with ball down by 3 with :20 to go. Maybe?
shows Cornell up by 1 with :07 and now it's over!
2, turnover and another 2... 72-71 Cornell with 7 seconds left
and Cornell ball with 1 second left!
Holy crap! My ESPN scoreboard finally refreshes and we go from down 62-58 to leading 72-62 with one second left.
Gametracker stuck at 72-71 with 1 second left. Yahoo still stuck with about 1 min left.
Cook on the rebound
R Nash didn't clear Cook from the slot
Holy crap! My ESPN scoreboard finally refreshes and we go from down 62-58 to leading 72-62 with one second left.
Should be 72-71, but it just doesn't matter one way or the other.
B-ball snatched victory from the jaws of defeat but hockey is doing the reverse.
Gametracker stuck at 72-71 with 1 second left. Yahoo still stuck with about 1 min left.
72-71 Cornell win confirmed on Yahoo.
I just spoke to people at the game. Apparently it was ridiculous. Harvard couldn't get the ball in and possession changed with 20 seconds left due to the five second rule. Alex Tyler scored the winner.
Now Redcast is having buffering issues again
This is like a frigging shooting gallery--with Scrivens the target.
Dartmouth giving us lots of help...up 7-2 (!) on Q and the game's not over yet!
Q scored the first 2 and then proceeded to give up 7 straight.
The team seems as dead as the crowd. U is taking it to us at the moment.
Union is out hustling Cornell right now. Less than 8 mins to go.
Brown and Clarkson at 3 each.
Colgate ahead of RPI 4 - 0.
Buote 13:55
Assist by Coyle
He was just standing at the right door step, waiting for a pass and he got one from the right corner. Bad defense by Cornell.
3-2 U. We are just brutal in our own end.
Ugh...right back to the beginning the season.
Depressing.
Whatever happened to Jason's "total control?"
We're playing like we don't want the win. Does Schafer need to show them the current standings?
Thats gotta be a penalty, I don't care how much time is left in the game.
This is depressing. We're getting all kinds of help out-of-town, and here we are pissing it away.
Evan Barlow 10 min misconduct
1:38 to go
Thats gotta be a penalty, I don't care how much time is left in the game.
And Barlow gets 10min misconduct presumably for telling the ref how he felt about it.
Barlow gets a 10 min misconduct, probably for mouthing off?
Cornell TO
Brown just caved: 4-3 Clarkson in OT
And Harvard hangs on to win 3-2
Contact to the head, elbowing on B Nash, 52 seconds to go
And he pulls the whistle out of wherever he hid it to call a penalty on Nash.
B. Nash takes a dumb penalty. When we start pulling this kind of shit down by 1 with 50 seconds to go, you know we're pissing it away.
Very tough loss. Shake it off and get back out on the ice tomorrow night.
Wow, that bites. The ECAC is wide open this year (Clarkson ain't unbeatable), but that kind of performance won't cut it.
Not a good effort. Starting to remind me of the last two weekends last year. This two goals a game offense is just not gonna cut it.
Looks like the Union bug is back.
