QuoteWe know that when Princeton says "sellout at Baker Rink" it means not a thing because there are always 500-plus empty seats available for those buying standing room tickets.
Bill, be careful. Baker Rink is small and Princeton is quite good this year. You might actually be standing, or even get shut out. Also, iirc, last year the line at the box office to buy standing room was pretty long by the time they started selling at 6:00. You'd be well advised to find tickets in advance (I have no idea where). If you're coming from L.I. after the lax game, I imagine you won't be arriving particularly early to get in line.
Best of luck!
Karl
Point taken. In this decade, Princeton has not been a powerhouse before this year, and possibly Princeton's success will draw more students. Or maybe not. Cornell's basketball success means Cornell sells out home games ... do Princeton students care as much about hockey now?

Considering that their basketball program is in the toilet, maybe...
When's the last time their hockey team was so much better than their hoops team?
Princeton won the post-season ECAC hockey championship in 1998 but nobody, including their fans, expected it.

And we have that team to blame for the PIG lasting as long as it did...and in any event the hoops team won the ivy title that year anyway.
