Clarkson's livestats running well ahead of RedCast here on Cape Cod.
Scott with four of our eight shots on goal, according to livestats.
Harvard at Union is being picked up on SNY
Harvard up 1-0 in the first
Greening!
cornell PP goal, Greening tip off a Nash shot, I think.
Shots now 12-1; nice to have gotten at least one goal out of that kind of start.
Huge goal by Greening, B Nash
Livestats shows each of the Nash brothers with an assist on that one.
Official scoring:
1 12:10 Cor pp Greening 7 (B. Nash 6, R. Nash 11)
Ain't brothers great.
Shit. A fluke goal ties it.
shoot.
Clarkson ties it on a pass out front from a wrap around.
why was he allowed to stand in the crease without the puck?
Clarkson's rink announcer is bush. What else would you expect from a rink with a train whistle, bell, and other silliness.
I like Clarkson, but I was thinking that Arthur would never announce a goal that was under review. That was a very AHL move.
Until Lynah acquires facilities that allow goals to be reviewed, there won't be any need for me to announce anything like that.
can they review goals in any game now or only in playoff games?
From the NCAA Ice Hockey Video Replay Policies and Procedures section of the rule book:
When a review is requested by the referee or instant replay official, the public address announcer shall make the following announcement: "The play is being reviewed by video replay."
Last five shots of the period--including the goal--for Clarkson.
Men's B-ball tied 27-27 with about 5 to go in the first half.
Much better start to this Clarkson game than last at least.
Princeton was up 24-17 before Foote began to exert himself and singlehandedly brought Cornell back. Now Cornell's up by one and Princeton has the ball. Princeton started five of six from 3-point range.
Cornell looks good tonight. It looks like both teams are focusing on speed and finesse rather than big hits.
Keep the squeakball scores coming in this thread if you don't mind since I doubt the Clarkson PA guy will announce it ;)
you can use big red stats to keep up with score.. its pretty easy.. still zero-zero..
37-29 Cornell at the half
espn realtime is still shown 27-27 with 2:38 left. where are you getting the updated scores from?
It's hard enough just following this thread on my phone, thanks.
There is free internet radio for those who don't know
According to USCHO, that was Clarkson's first ppg in ECAC play since November. ::bang::

I'm watching the game on RedCast between periods of the hockey game.
This is the first legitimately loud non-Lynah crowd I've heard this year.
I think my favorite podunk Cheel feature is the $50 chuck-a-puck prize.
For some reason the Clarkson commentator has to make a point of indicating that every play is "onsides"... quite annoying

Damn you.
This is the first legitimately loud non-Lynah crowd I've heard this year.
They're kinda like loud, annoying facetimers. I don't think anyone in Section 15 has actually seen any of the game because they're too busy yelling shit at the Cornell fans and band.
Cornell is turning the puck over too often.
scrivens = sexy beast ::rock::
I know we're down, but the first goal was a fluke... just thought it needed to be said.

But at least their minds aren't on the Crackberries in their hands. ;-)
Kyle
Beautiful pass by Scott to P Kennedy, almost...
If Jason is to be believed, Cornell is playing really, really well.
Princeton cuts a 12-point Cornell lead to 4 at 46-42.
Cornell is turning the puck over too often.
Actually, this has been one of the better games I've seen with respect to turnovers. We're having some really strong possessions near the end of the 2nd.
Clarkson is resorting to icing the puck a lot now.
alot of hard work.. time to get paid off.. clarkson is tired
I agree with Jason
those last 4-5 shifts were really well played. lots of chances but we always seemed 2-3 ft out of position for a quality shot.
Columbia crushing Penn; Yale and Brown leading Harvard and Dartmouth.
The clarkson commentators actually do too
C55-P48 9.25 to go for B-ball
Faceoffs 31-20 Clarkson; realy miss M. Kennedy.
Not enough energy on that final Cornell power play. They need to move the puck much faster to open lanes.
Overall, a good period, but still there are problems when Clarkson uses aggressive fore-checking. This has been a problem for much of the year.
Cornell will have a short power play to start the 3rd.
This is the first legitimately loud non-Lynah crowd I've heard this year.
Also, their, umm, cheer selection leaves a bit to be desired. "Test tube babies", "Broken condoms", and "Failed abortions" are very classy.
Princeton on another run of treys; 58-54 Cornell lead. Six to go.
C63 P54 with 4 to go.
65-55 with 2:30
Reed, interference 15:43, Cornell PP
golden bummer
True ball-busting goal by Beca.
72-61 final
just lazy on D..
Great night for basketball! A win tomorrow would be sweet.
that was going in whose stick hit it?
Mugford had an open net... the puck was behind Leggio
that was going in whose stick hit it?
Clarkson broadcasters thought it was Mugford's. The replay showed it get past Leggio, Mugford made a charge for it, but it looked like his stick contacted the puck and batted it away from the goalmouth before the puck went in.
this the best consistent forecheck for cornell all year. but little to show for it.
RPI and Dartmouth tied at 4 and going to OT
QU up 4-1 on Yale
Colgate up 2-1 on SLU
Clarkson PP, B Nash hooking, 6:17 remaining
How much time is left?
4:38
That was the most blatant, ridiculous dive I've seen in a long time
Scrivens out
Bullocks.
Damn it
they make a stupid shot lenght of the ice and it goes in..
8 goals by clarkson against us and maybe 2 were because of any real quality scoring plays.. not that it matters with our offense..
Crappy way to lose in the end, but we can't say we didn't have our chances. I don't know what it is with this team, but it seems our goals to chances ratio is depressingly low.
'gate 2 - (t) 1 F
QU 5 - Eli 1 F
HU 3 - onion 2 F
RIP 4 - DC 4 F
P'ton 3 - Brom 2 F
Moving us to fourth place, 1 behind QU/PU and 2 ahead of Union
Women's Hockey 3 - Clarkson 5
Women's B-ball 77 - p'ton 73
Would be nice to see a Princeton loss to the Elis tomorrow.
A very good start, but a disappointing 3rd period. Clarkson has an impressive forecheck and when they used it, Cornell had a lot of trouble getting the puck out of their own end. Cornell power plays could have been more energetic.
Things should be better in Canton tomorrow, but Cornell is going to have to play hard to win. There is a lot of parity in the ECAC this year.
Who didnt play tonight?
Who didnt play tonight?
Michael Kennedy
Did anyone else notice how similar the Cornell goal was to the second goal against Yale? That was also a power play goal that was set up by R Nash. He passed to his brother, who hit a hard shot from the blue line, which was tipped in by Greening. I wouldn't be surprised if they practice that a lot, especially since most teams will expect a shot from Riley and not Brendon on power plays.
