Just got home to find Harvard leading Northeastern 3-0 just ten minutes into the game. Could this be the year they play at 8 on the second monday?
Since when does Harvard play Northeastern in the first round? I have to assume that this is the consy...

Every third year.
Every third year.
A.k.a., the year when BC actually wins their second game.
NU gets on the board with under 0:30 left in the 2nd. 3-1.
NU scores at 19:32 of the second. Let the collapse begin.
Harvard... wait... I'm not sure if this sentence is correct...wins in the Beanpot semis??! 3-1.
First semifinal win in 10 years.

What will you tell me next? BU will lose their semi?
About 5 minutes to go in the first, 2-1 BC. BC on the PP.
Considering this is supposed to be a BC-BU beanpot game, I don't hear much in the way of cheers from the students.
Saw a typical BC fan on the T as I was heading home tonight...typical as in sitting on the T while the game had started 30 minutes previously ;)
BU ties it 3:30 into the 2nd on the PP. 2-2

Not sure yet. BU/BC need some more time to figure it out. Tied at 3 at the end of regulation.
BC wins it. Gerbe in OT.
Beanpot U misses the final for the first time in 14 years. Harvard makes it for the first time in ten. Everything is backwards in Boston today.

You mean Romney is losing to McCain?::crazy::
Well you've gotta love the beanpot for at least sparking a nice political discussion ...::popcorn::
Here's a reasonably amusing article presumably from the BU student paper about the beanpot fans.

QuoteI wish I had more to say about Harvard, but it's not easy to talk about nothing. Let's move on.
Speaking of which, I'll be attending the beanpot games on Monday and sitting in the Harvard section, as that's where we knew we could get tickets. So I have 2 questions for the esteemed collective of eLynah:
1) Anyone else going?
2) The biggest question: what to wear...what to wear? I've got my "screw BU" t-shirt that seems like a natural for the Consolation game, and I could change that out to either of my CU-H rivalry shirts (Cornell over Harvard in block letters and "This ain't no love story" or something like that, or my Cornell-Harvard 1995 game shirt that shows a cartoony CU player breaking a stick that says "Harvard" over his head), a Lynah Faithful shirt, or just stick with the tried-and-true CU jersey which could be mistaken for a BU jersey from across a huge arena.
Or I could buy some NY Giants gear just to piss everyone off even though I'm not really a fan. Blue would really stick out in a sea of off-reds. Or in the case of the Harvard section, empty seats.
I'm not sure I can bring myself to actually cheer for Harvard...I swore off that a few beanpots ago when I was convinced they could've done the league a solid and actually win a game.
If I had the power to create a poll for this, I would.
Done. God, the North Country is boring.

try skiing... just don't speed through colton

Hey, thanks...my own poll. Although I must say that for the fourth choice, I have neither the body hair coverage, nor the lack of shame to compete with Sasquatch.

If you want to annoy the Harvard fans, go with the Cornell gear. If you want to annoy EVERYONE, find some Giants gear.
