Yup, and the Penn game is on Comcast Sports for those who get that channel.

The Tom Glavine-coached Cornell Big Red win 72-54.  According to YES, the team's 10-5 overall start (2-0 Ivy) is the best since 1967-68.

Fred, were you at the game?  I think I saw you in a crowd shot.

Me? No my parents came to visit today, watched at home, but that was about it. Must be one of my many doppelgangers ;)

The ESPN boxscore (http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=280260171) has C. Robinson playing one minute. Is there some unreported news about Robinson's return or is there a different C. Robinson?

Must be a misprint. The Cornell Web site and CBS sportsline show Robinson with 0 minutes in the box score. He is not on the roster on the Cornell site, either.

"heafdog" was quite vocal and semi-abusive, and he and I managed to start a few good chants and songs, but most people there weren't exactly the sort of participatory crowd you get more of at hockey games.  It was a hell of a fun game to watch, though.  I was especially impressed with Cornell's rebounding.

Collin Robinson is not coming back, at least there is no discussion about it.   And man, they did miss him last night.

Me too (from TV, though).  No one had the position or instinct to just grab every rebound, but on nearly every miss CU had hands swatting, men hustling, keeping the ball alive until it often landed in the hands of a CU player for easy points.

Plus, they were really going for the boards at Columbia's end, too - and at both ends, were heads-up enough about their rebound attempts to draw far more fouls in the process than they committed.

Didn't watch the game, but based on the score I assume that's sarcasm?

No sarcasm.  Cornell struggled bringing the ball up the floor when Dale was out with 3 fouls.

Against Columbia we survived... but against a team with more athletic guards (i.e. Yale, Brown, Penn), we could have problems.
