I'm listened to AM radio out of Ithaca 870 WHCU - But also on EMS call in my town - so may have to run any time but will post updates as something happens and I'm still at home.
Jason played up the Harvard goalie as best young keeper in the NCAA .955 save percentage.
Game underay

It would be cool if you didn't post updates right away b/c you will probably be a minute ahead of those of us streaming over the internet. Thanks!
On the chat the word is that there is free audio that sucks.
The WHRB 95.3 Harvard radio link is working fine.
I'm too slow typing to be real quick -b ut let me know what the delay is like
www.whrb.org free audio via itunes (and other formats)!
The WHRB 95.3 Harvard radio link is sucking fine.
All righty, Sucks audio is a go.
Harvard student sections are quite bare. Surprise surprise.
Kudos to band - coming through clear on Jason's broadcast - sounds good. LGR
Sounds like only one band also.
Harvard scores :(
F
Hobey Biega with an assist.
Pelle scores off a rebound 3:25 into the game.
3:25 first; Pelle, second goal of season - off of Seminoff's skate. Assists to Biega and Taylor
Harvard 1 CU 0
Jason - said not much cheering from Harvard fans -
Sounds like only one band also.
Sucks band is on the road to New Haven for "the game".
Video frozen for last 3 minutes...::cuss::
Video frozen for last 3 minutes...::cuss::
Mine just started getting really choppy, and is now frozen.
I know they suck and all, but the announcers really aren't bad compared to what else I've heard this season.
Power play for Cornell. Getting some extended posessions in the offensive zone, but not really generating any shots.
CU scores!
i have been trying for 30 min just to create an account..
PPG Blake G at 8:23 from (1st goal for Blake).
Assists to ....
Gallagher.
That was actually a lucky play. A pass got broken up by Harvard but we picked up the garbage and put it in the net.
i have been trying for 30 min just to create an account..
For what?
i have been trying for 30 min just to create an account..
This is part of the reason I'm listening to the sucks feed.
How boring is this Harvard play-by-play man?
Come on, put some energy into it!!!
the harvard video feed
How boring is this Harvard play-by-play man?

Honestly I'd rather it be this way than the other extreme... and not just because I'm at work.
First penalty on Cornell. Harvard announcer has admitted Harvard getting away with 2 possible penalties.
Slashing on P. Kennedy .45 secs to go on PK
Scrivens several key saves and again just after we cough it up on the breakout as penalty is over.
Cornell Powerplay with about 3 mins left in the first
Cornell going to the power play again.
Harvard penalty
Sucks live stats makes updating thread easier, while Cornell live stats is still stuck on the Deerticks game. ::rock::
Harvard kills it.
That's because the home team is responsible for updating the livestats ...
Matching minors on Topher and some Harvard guy.
That's because the home team is responsible for updating the livestats ...
... all right then, I'm going to go hide under my rock of ignorance until the second period.
Guy running intermission interview has a creepy voice.
Greening and Nash
Now a discussion on the comparative attractiveness of the Biega brothers...
And they're ragging on their crowd for not showing up. Excellent.
Did we hear comments on the size of the crowd?
Did we hear comments on the size of the crowd?
The intermission interview is pre-taped, so you won't hear it there.
Harvard video has an overlay, "Auto Power Off." Sierra Club's going to love them for saving energy ... but it does kind of screw up the video feed. Anyone else see that message?
With all Harvard's money, you'd think they could hire a couple guys from MIT who know what they're doing.
Harvard is starting its own Engineering school.
Ugh....right.

"Pre-taped"?
I joined late, late in the first and wasn't sure if during the game the announcers for either side had remarked on the size of the crowd. The Cantabs have been saying how hard it is to get fans when all the Harvard sports fans are in New Haven.
when did harvard start piping in music? pathetic

With all Harvard's money, they know everything. Or believe they do ...
"the Cornell band and Cornell fans, making it feel like a satellite of Lynah Rink" - Jason 870am
The Harvard band isn't there because they're in New Haven for the football game tomorrow. The Cornell band is there, and they'll be in Philadelphia for the football game tomorrow. What does that tell you?

Nothing we didn't already know.
Penalty on Patrick Kennedy
Anyone else notice the Harvard audio varies up and down 3-6dB depending on - what -- the announcer moves toward/away from the make, or sunspots, or something? Pretty faint.

The guys from MIT have a history of hijinx when it comes to the Crimson. Maybe they are on duty.

Nope. It's been consistently clear for me.
Penalty on Sucks' Frasier, interference
hey baby...
two great chances in close for CU.. nice saves..
Goalie, sieve, post...
Richter looking good in goal for the Cantabs. Followed by one nice stop by Scrivens off a Cornell D-lapes.
"You have this great Cornell band, and no Harvard band" -- according to Sucks announcers
You can't recruit?
Harvard announcer just announced he's surprised Cornell has so many Canadians and what a good job Cornell does recruiting against other Western powers.
Other announcer notes that you can't really recruit in the Ivy League.
Nice...They didn't know RIT is now Div I...
Two sets of brothers playing together? I think you missed a pair and a half, sir...
Harvard announcer just announced he's surprised Cornell has so many Canadians
Someone obviously doesn't know his hockey history. We're just a bunch of Candian whores, remember?

They're gonna kick our ass back to Montreal!
We're winning the hearts and minds of the Harvard announcers. They're got lots of respectful things to say about Cornell. THEY seem to think we've go a chance against Harvard, unlike USCHO that predicts a 4-2 Harvard win.
Lots of pressure on Richter
According to Jason - Richter standing on his head and making a bunch of great saves... He can see why he is so highly rated.
Period 2 1 sec left and Richter save on Scott. Period is over.
Blake G. is interviewee in intermission between 2nd and 3rd.

No, hoe-ers: Aggies.
Ten thousand men of Harvard, nine thousand are...
Shopping at the Harvard "coop"? I would have thought the commercial should have been read "Co-Op". Then again ,they said it has been around since the 1890's, so maybe they read it right.
not sure but I think this feed works for video..

Anyone watching the Harvard video have a blue screen rather than a picture of the Zamboni ( or Olympia) going round and round?
Yeh- that' seems to be what they do. Picture comes back with the start of the period.
thanks upperdeck
you get in ok?
Now the broadcast says, "Heads Dirty - Use Cleaning Cassette." How big is that endowment?
Still black screen on my video.
harvard announcer: " ... away band comes in, kind of blows your band out of the water."
Scrivens apparently looking shaky in the third....
Cornell not doing a good job clearing the zone so far in the 3rd, Crimson getting a few good chances but not capitalizing
Bleh
Harvard scores. 12:30 left in the 3rd.
Harvard owns first half of third period.
Cornell power play coming up
Cornell power play coming up.
On Hobey Biega, no less.
De-fence chant. ::yark::
Killed.
Sucks PP
Sucks audio just died on me
I'm not having any problems, still working.
Cornell PK looking awful, not moving their feet, only a matter of time before H scores at this rate
Killed anyway.
how much time left?
Extra skater on, 1:00 left
a little over a minute.
Well, that sucked.
i think they played better than last week.. justa couple spurts in the 3rd they got caught chasing and that create a goal..
but the hard goalie made 2-3 saves in the 2nd where cornell had great chances to get 2-3 goals..
a split is not bad lets do it..
Harvard recording shots at 35-23
Harvard had the upper edge on the forecheck tonight and I think that made the difference. Good goaltending on both sides kept things tight. Sucks seems the better team at this point in the season.
3 STARS from WHCU
- 1 Brian McCafferty
- 2 Kyle Richter
- 3 Scrivens
Harvard had the upper edge on the forecheck tonight and I think that made the difference. Good goaltending on both sides kept things tight. While in Boston today, I listened to part of Harvard-Yale football on the radio. During a timeout, while doing an "upcoming events" promo, the Harvard radio guys were practically falling over themselves patting each other on the back for driving back to call the Colgate-Harvard hockey game the same night. Then they bragged about all the road games they were going to do during the holiday season. "Blah blah blah, extraordinary dedication, commitment to H Athletics, blah blah blah."

As was noted in Doonesbury, Harvard men continue to have a self-esteem problem.
