anyone here?
Yep, but I have to leave after the 1st, so I declined to start the game thread again.
must be hungover.
Here.
sounds like the Brown PA announcer and DJ are looped into their free audio feed at about 3x the volume of the announcers.
Makes stoppages in play a real pleasure.
Cornell goes on the power play 6:25 in.
Cornell pp coming up
B2 is up.
Roeszler in for Joe Devin. I assume that means Fontas drops back to D.
Oh, gawsh, a power play. We're #48 in the nation on PP (10%), Brown is #3 on PK (95%).
Roeszler in for Joe Devin. I assume that means Fontas drops back to D.
No, Devin was playing with Scott and Gallagher. Checking line of Scali, Fontas and Nicholls is intact.

Roeszler in for Joe Devin. I assume that means Fontas drops back to D.
No, Devin was playing with Scott and Gallagher. Checking line of Scali, Fontas and Nicholls is intact.
Then we have 13 forwards. Joe's the D, and he's out.
Cornell gets a 5-on-3 for 16 seconds. Muncy for holding at 8:10.
5-on-3 for :16
Another penalty to Brown.
2 men up for :16.
Now we've got a 5x3 PP for 15 seconds. If I go grab a beer figuring nothing will happen, can I woof us into a goal?

Roeszler in for Joe Devin. I assume that means Fontas drops back to D.
No, Devin was playing with Scott and Gallagher. Checking line of Scali, Fontas and Nicholls is intact.
Then we have 13 forwards.
By what moronic logic? Joe Devin (forward) out, Roeszler (forward) in.
Now we've got a 5x3 PP for 15 seconds. If I go grab a beer figuring nothing will happen, can I woof us into a goal?
If they get a shorty, you are a dead man.

You sure as hell can't score one for us.

Lots of good chances late in that 2nd powerplay but no one can put it in.
Either Jason exaggerates or that was a nice save by Scrivens.
Berk seems to be getting pushed off the puck a lot.
Rosen with a good save against Patrick Kennedy, then Scrivens with one against Brown's Palmer.
Scali with an equipment problem, Scott double-shifts on the checking line.
What is hell? Hell is a piped in tape of "The Final Countdown" during play.
Pretty good chorus of "Let's Go Red" over the radio broadcast.
Berk seems to be getting pushed off the puck a lot.
On the radio or the video?
Period ends.
Radio
At least we're keeping up with the discipline from last night...no penalties yet.
Riley Nash is the intermission guest. If he sounds like a Valley Girl, we'll know the players are just messing with Jason.
hasn't said "like" yet ...
No, but he sounds like this guy: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2006/writers/bill_syken/06/01/scorecard.daily/p1_spicoli.jpg
I heard a like in there.
not a bad period. the guys worked the puck pretty well at times. obviously need to find a way to get the puck out of the zone. a lot of scrambling in our own end.
Did he say he is glad to be out of Ithaca?
You weren't alone
Fairly articulate interview, actually, until Jason's technical incompetence ended the interview early.
Shots on goal in favor of Brown, 9-4.
Fairly articulate interview, actually, until Jason's technical incompetence ended the interview early.
Nobody on this team's a finisher.
OUCH! Unfortunately very true though
wow! scrivens scares me out of the net.
wow! scrivens scares me out of the net.
Good. You shouldn't be in net.
watching the game it sure didnt seem like CU only had 4 shots on goal..
cornel must lead the world in unforced TO's
Sounds like we dodged a bullet there -- Sawada fails to clear, Scrivens down, but Brown still can't pot it. Whew.
brown was buzzing as cornell kept failing to clear it..

wow! scrivens scares me out of the net.
Good. You shouldn't be in net.
and you shouldn't come out to play the puck and then have to struggle to get back to the net. he didn't need to come out.
I guess yor not watching the video.
Cornell penalty .. Gallagher
PP for Brown. Gallagher going off for 2 min.
What was that about being disciplined?
Brown (Garbit, sp?, from McGongle) scores a PP goal 9 seconds into it.
LGR!
Brown penalty ... Prough ... holding at 9:27
about 5 shots by CU the goalie never saw but none went in
Nash post ... then Rosen save.
Brown penalty ... Stuart ... CTH roughing 11:53
Cornell PPG ...Topher Scott on a rebound of a Mike Devin shot ... 12:25
wooooo. Scott!!
nice!
it takes about 10 good chances to get one goal..
livestats reports the goal as being scored by Jordan Berk, but that's just confusing 16 with 26
it takes about 10 good chances to get one goal..
So ... ?
livestats reports the goal as being scored by Jordan Berk, but that's just confusing 16 with 26
now it's corrected
thats not the cornell live stats is it?
the brown goalie has 5-6 really good saves this period..
the brown goalie has 5-6 really good saves this period..
Rosen had good numbers coming in according to Jason.
I hope Timberlake is the subject of a lot of cheers when they come to Lynah.
I hope Timberlake is the subject of a lot of cheers when they come to Lynah.
Can't wait till he spears somebody. (I'm glad Age keeps a count of edits to record my complete inability to type.)
Cornell penalty ... Seminoff ... elbowing ... 17:45
Brown penalty Garbutt tripping 17:58
a clean shot from the pt turns into a penalty when it doesnt get past the D..
half a net missed by barlow/nash
Brown penalty ... Baier ... 18:48
Another Brown penalty. 4x 3 advantage for Cornell. 1:12 left in the second, and a timeout by Cornell.
LGR.
Cornell timeout
good timeout in my opinion.
Baier penalty was for goaltender interference
GREENING!!!!!!!!!
Cornell goal ... Greening ppg (M. Devin, Krueger) 19:36
good timeout in my opinion.
Indeed!
Greening!! 2-1 Cornell!
Looked like a nice shot. Greening!! and will still be on a PP in a few.
assist changed from Devin to Nash
good period.
2 ppg's? What's gotten into them tonight?
RPI beating the tar outta Dartmouth, 4-1.
I dont think Semi said like. He's a good speaker.
I dont think Semi said like. He's a good speaker.
Yep. Impressive. Might also be the difference between a freshman and a junior.
2 ppg's? What's gotten into them tonight?
I for one am not gonna question it ;-)
shots after 2 periods ... Brown 17, Cornell 15

2 ppg's? What's gotten into them tonight?
I for one am not gonna question it ;-)
Me either but we do still have 48 seconds left for the start of the 3rd. Make 'em pay. ::uptosomething::
cornell controlled center ice and had the best shots but brown did a good job of cyliing 2-3 times and cornell failed on several clearing chances. lets bury another one

BIG TIME!
According to the box (http://www.collegehockeystats.net/0708/boxes/mclkprn1.n10), Steve Zalewski had a 4-goal game for Clarkson today. Yikes.
Not only that, but all 4 were consecutive -- a natural super-hat trick?
The first post subject line needs to be updated :)
lots of clutching and grabbing by Cornell, per the crackerjack Brown announcing crew.
Not only that, but all 4 were consecutive -- a natural super-hat trick?
supernatural hat trick?
Krueger holding 5:54
I could see that coming when one man outworked three cornell players. going on the PK.
Jesus, Jason's gonna give me a heart attack.
goof kill. one real good chance for brown.
Cornell penalty ... interference ... M. Devin 9:49
Another Brown PP.
Brown penalty ... Stuart ... CTH roughing 11:53
I got a penalty? How'd I do that?
And I'm not even on the right team. :-)
PP to brown after another blown clear attempt
penalty killed
Does anybody think of Dan Ackroyd when the Brown announcers mention Garvin?
Another great kill.
So is Brown's player McMonagle any relation to our recently graduated lacrosse goalie?
So is Brown's player McMonagle any relation to our recently graduated lacrosse goalie?
That's why the name sounded so familiar!
The Union mens and women's teams have been outscored a combined 17-0 this weekend.
Brown Penalty.
Brown penalty ... 14:18 ... Garbutt for slashing
the brown commentators are bitching
Another Cornell PP. About 6 minutes or so left in the third.
the brown commentators are bitching
Of course they are, that's Brown broadcasters do.
the brown commentators are bitching
So what else is new? (Josh beat me to it!)
So is Brown's player McMonagle any relation to our recently graduated lacrosse goalie?
I was kind of wondering that too....
So is Brown's player McMonagle any relation to our recently graduated lacrosse goalie?
I doubt it. Brown's player is from Canada and the lax player is from Pennsylvania.
Wow, Spats is still open.
cornell looks tired..
Goal ... Riley Nash ...
Nash!
Nash! 3-1 PPG
Nash!!!!
Well damn. We have two VERY good freshmen.
PPG Riley Nash !!!
What's with the Ramones?!?
great rush by hash thru 3 guys for a 3-1 lead
Even the Brown commentators called it "highlight reel"- must've been nice
Holy cow! Three PPGs. Riley Nash now.
"His own red line?"
nash is starting to show me something.
Could someone throw some vid of the NAsh goal up on youtube?
Thanx
he took it almost end to end.. split two guys at the red line and then another then easily beat the goalie.. very nice
"His own red line?"
Well, heck, if he is going to score 2 goals, we can give him his own Red line... at least for the week. He will have to earn it again next weekend though ;-).
now wish i had archived the game.. that was a nice goal.
Brown goaie pulled.
Greening eng
ENG!!!
4 point week-end!
2 of Greening's 3 goals this year have been ENG
AC/DC playing now. WTF is with the music on this feed?
ENG for Colin Greening.
4-1 Cornell. A very sweet 4 point weekend. Excellent job Red!
I have a feeling this is a pretty good Brown team. Nice win. Great weekend!
Well damn. We have two VERY good freshmen.
That's for damn sure
AC/DC playing now. WTF is with the music on this feed?
Which feed are you listening to?
PA announcer and music have been on the Brown feed the entire game.
Brown announcers get the assist wrong. Ugh.

Brown penalty 19:58 Thunell for something evil
he took it almost end to end.. split two guys at the red line and then another then easily beat the goalie.. very nice
Did he deke the goalie out and make him look like a fool?
I missed it. I hope it's on youtube or something.
He's DEFINITELY showing us good things
First road 4-pt (http://www.tbrw.info/weeklyUpdates/cornell4ptWeekends.html) weekend since last year at these two teams.
And it sounds like somebody actually did Winning Team, Losing Team correctly.
Brown announcers get the assist wrong. Ugh.
Yeah, but the audio cut-ins are so wonderful it makes up for it.
Game over. 4-1 Red.
5 + game with 2 seconds left ... big deal
when he has some room he has xome very nice moves.. he almost did it 2-3 times tonight going right by a defender..

Brown announcers get the assist wrong. Ugh.
More AC/DC!!!
Brown is dirty. No big surprise there.
i didnt think to check with b2live to see they dont archive the game until too late..
Brown is dirty. No big surprise there.
But the Brown announcers said Brown is never dirty.
