Title: Audio webcasts
Post by: Dafatone on November 10, 2007, 03:54:26 PM
Will there be free audiocasts of the games this year?  The free net audio link seems to go to last year's links.

As far as I know, if you want to hear the Cornell broadcast team, you have to pay via a Redcast subscription.

I'm fine with... well, I'll deal with road broadcast teams.  Will the links from last year work for this year?  Guess I'll find out tonight.

Figures that I'll be listening to Brown's broadcasters.  Ugh.

I think he was asking about the link on the right that gave links to other schools' free audio broadcasts. I don't remember who maintained that site in the past, hopefully they'll chime in at some point.

I know the Yale audio one worked last night.  But it didn't link to the video.

The brown link works, too.  Just tried it.  Video is PPV.  Audio is free.

You'll just have to contend with "getting less than you pay for" with the free Brown audio.

The best part is that Brown's pubescent"play-by-play guy is a poster on the USCHO forums, and regularly goes on there to defend himself against the wrath of fans forced to listen to his high-pitched homer-ism.

Hey. Anyone know if the video is worth the $6 dollars?

I would whole-heartedly say yes, based on last week's broadcast.

cost: $6.00 (It is well worth it from what i have heard.)

Brown audio is up.

"45-50 seconds into the game. Still no score" was what made it obvious.

I've been doing it for the last few years, but I had the impression that it wasn't being used. If even a few people find it useful, I'm happy to update it for this season --just let me know, thanks.
