One thing is certain after reading this article...it only teaches facetimers how to disguise themselves.
On the whole, though, it's a nice effort to improve the hockey etiquette of the students.
My (stricter) rules instead:
Rule 1: Unless you own a jersey, always wear your Lynah Faithful t-shirt. If you don't have a t-shirt, buy a jersey.
Rule 2: Get there before practice starts. The game starts at 7:00, but the players take the ice at 6:23.
Rule 3: Pretend you have a test in Hockey 101 everyday. Learn the differences in rules between college hockey and pro hockey.
Rule 4: Know every single cheer dating back to when Neil Cohen was born.
Rule 5: Don't boo the refs. The law of large numbers says things will even out in the long run. They do their best and cannot ultimately be held responsible for Cornell winning or losing a game.
Rule 6: No argument here, he is right, don't make random hockey references unless you know what you're talking about.
Rule 7: The band never needs encouragement to play songs. It's a single-celled organism that makes decisions on its own.
Rule 8: Don't throw anything on the ice unless it is a newspaper or the smelliest most disgusting fish you can find.

Aye, well. If facetimers learn to disguise themselves by showing up on time dressed in red, making appropriate, informed hockey references, and participating only in the appropriate cheers, well, I guess I can learn to live with that... :-}
Quote from: Sun rules of hockey etiquetteIf you want to wear a slutty outfit to a Cornell hockey game, you not only don't support the team, but you also will be really cold.
What is this, the new Puritanism?
Red is a hot color.
Everyone wearing identical Lynah Faithful t-shirts makes us look too much like he BC Superfans. ::yark::

Seriously, wear red stuff, preferrably jerseys and the like, but let's not make our default fan uniform be facetiming shirts for Long Islanders to show how cool they are for standing in a line.

At least they're the right color, unlike the RPI "superfans" with their neon-yellow t-shirts last year.
I don't wear the "I did my time" shirt, but I know alot of people who do who never miss a game and are always there for warmups. A few of you are being a bit too snotty. There are plenty of great fans who chose to wear that shirt.

too true.

Loud and on time are a lot more important than what color you wear.
I think the biggest problem with the lynah faithful these days that a lot of us percieve is just a general trend towards co-optation by cornell/athletics dept. . . . i.e., straying from its roots.
