Title: Other ECAC scores 10/13
Post by: sah67 on October 13, 2007, 09:54:47 PM
All final:

Union 4 Ferris State 1

Colgate 6 RIT 5 -- this was apparently a wild one...Colgate up 3-0 in the 1st, RIT up 5-4 by the beginning of the 3rd.  Dekanich had 37 saves.  I hope we're ready come 10/26 as I think the Tigers will be a handful at Blue Cross

UMass 3 SLU 1

BC 4 RPI 1

Clarkson 2 Providence 0

QU 10 Ryerson 0 -- 47 shots from Quinny, and 9/10 goals were even-strength...clearly not as impressive as 11-1 over York though ;)

Colgate has a freshman forward named Francois Brisebois.  I just love how extremely French-Canadian that name is.  That's a hockey name right there.

Sadly, the UQTR roster doesn't sound all that interesting for next week:

1 Maxime, 1 Sylvain, 1 Jean-Sebastien, and 1 Thiery...the rest are unfortunately more Anglicized.  What fun is it chanting against a French Canadian school if they don't have outrageously French names?  And on that subject, will our chants have any effect on them in English?  Anyone know the French word for sieve?

The french word for sieve is 'tamis'
but I dont know if that would make any more sense... maybe if you translated the whole "You're not a..." cheer and did it early in the game?

then again it would be funny just to sheer SIEVE with a heavy Pink Panther accent (2 syllables with the emphasis on the end vowel sound?)
