There's an inspiring semi-hockey-related item in the current issue of "Cornell Alumni Magazine" (but not on the website, at least not yet). A member of the class of 2007, an avid Big Red hockey fan, was suffering from leukemia, and received a bone marrow/stem cell transplant while he was an undergrad. After the one-year confidentiality period had passed, both he and his donor opted to be revealed to each other, and the donor turned out to be Cornell class of 1983, and an avid Big Red hockey fan.
