Once again, it is time for me to make another audition tape! Good, solid funny stuff like the last tape I made (http://youtube.com/watch?v=v4i-9xfkreA) but I won't jerk around like I'm davening.

Mo Pitkin's (http://mopitkins.com)
34 Avenue A between 2d St. and 3d St.
Only $5!
So, who is on this show?
Charles Star (http://rickblaine.com) - Contributor to Onion Network News (http://theonion.com), jerk (http://myspace.com/charles_star) (typical)
Rachael Parenta (http://rparenta.blogspot.com). She is an excellent coproducer because she does most of the work.
Adrienne Iapalucci (http://www.comedysoapbox.com/comedianstemplate.cfm?comedianID=962)
Claudia Cogan (http://getthefoutofhere.blogspot.com) - Contributor to Fake Gay News (http://fakegaynews.com)
Our headliner is the hilarious Pete Holmes (http://peteholmes.com). Pete Holmes is on VH1's Best Week Ever (http://www.bestweekever.tv/tag/Pete+Holmes), was on Comedy Central's Premium Blend (http://www.comedycentral.com/comedians/browse/h/pete_holmes.jhtml), writes for CollegeHumor.com (http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1695301) and is the host of periodic late-night open mic Gut Bucket (http://ucbtheatre.com/schedule/showdetails.php?showid=1300) at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (http://ucbtheatre.com/ny). Also, we play poker together sometimes. (Most of those links have clips, if you are curious.)
The whole thing is hosted by Tony Camin (http://www.myspace.com/tonycamin), who has also been on Premium Blend (http://www.comedycentral.com/comedians/browse/c/tony_camin.jhtml), is one of the co-writers of hit play The Marijuana-logues (http://www.marijuanalogues.com/bios/), and is the co-host of Broin' Out (http://ucbtheatre.com/schedule/showdetails.php?showid=823) at UCB (http://ucbtheatre.com/ny). (You can see a clip at "Premium Blend" or here (http://one.revver.com/watch/225777).)
Seriously, this is going to be awesome. I hope you can make it.
I'm bringing some friends. We plan on trying to establish a tradition of Charles Star fans in the audience jerking around like they're davening.
Or the "black hole" cheer, maybe. Haven't decided.
Bump (or, since this already at the top, "give everyone a 1 new post note.") If you are coming, come early - it looks like we might sell out. (Seriously.)

How much exactly is that costing you, Charles? :-P

Less than you'd think, with the insider discount.
Charles killed tonight, by the way - absolutely slayed 'em. The comics before and after him were pretty good, but Señor Ugarte had 'em in tears. Everyone who missed this show must live with the realization that their lives are just a little bit emptier for it.
The cheeseburger wasn't bad, either.

Now that was expensive.

The expensive part was actually the "tilde surcharge." It was worth it.
For the curious, the video of that show is now up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GPPudCPtV0
For the incurious, why did you even bother to click "1 new"?
